Inside, you'll find 3 cozy bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere bathed in natural light. The home features a sunken living room that adds character and a relaxed, conversational feel, while the space is thoughtfully decorated with vintage treasures, antiques, plants, stones, and driftwood—creating an earthy, soulful vibe that’s both nostalgic and grounding.

Two decks—one in the front and one in the back—offer ideal spots for morning coffee, evening drinks, or simply soaking in the sounds of nature. The spacious yard is perfect for guests traveling with outdoor gear and is large enough to accommodate trailers for side-by-sides, snowmobiles, or other equipment.

We stayed here in Feb 2026 in what was a great stay. The house itself was incredibly well decorated, modern, clean, and cozy. The host was professional and communicative. This house was perfect for a winter weekend get away and only 20 min to Nubs Nob or Boyne Highlands. The house is very cute and well-appointed with whatever you might need. We plan to stay again.

Erin was fantastic and the house was everything we could wish for. Very comfortable, well stocked with everything you might need, and great location very close to fantastic beaches on Lake Michigan as well as beautiful nature preserves along M119 (tunnel of trees). The house is gorgeous and clean. The only issue was only half the plugs work, so we had to switch rooms a couple times and figure out how to plug everything in to charge or work. My dear husband set a bag on the binder for the entire stay, and I didn’t know it existed until we were walking out. The binder tells you where the outside trash can is, but the rules posted in the kitchen do not.

Nature inspires everything I do—including my rentals. I use driftwood, stones, plants, and other natural elements in my décor because I want each space to feel peaceful, earthy, and connected to the outdoors. I’m also a big fan of vintage and thrifted treasures—those one-of-a-kind pieces with character that make a place feel like home.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood because it captures everything I love about Northern Michigan. It’s peacefully tucked away in nature, yet close to all the best things our area has to offer.

I love being just minutes from the water—Good Hart Beach has some of the most stunning sunsets I’ve ever seen. The ORV and snowmobile trails are right nearby, which makes it perfect for outdoor adventures all year long. The Good Hart Nature Preserve is also close, and it’s one of my favorite spots for hiking and quiet morning walks.

One of the things that made me fall in love with this property is the yard—huge old maple trees, fresh air, and a beautiful open hayfield view that feels like pure peace.

It’s the perfect blend of woods, water, sunsets, and small-town charm… and I love being able to share that experience with my guests.

What makes this property unique

What makes my property unique is its character—you don’t see homes like this very often anymore. It was built in the 1970s and still has so much of its original charm, especially the sunken living room, which is my absolute favorite feature. It’s cozy, nostalgic, and perfect for relaxing or gathering with friends and family.

The large windows let in an incredible amount of natural light and make the whole space feel warm and connected to nature. I’ve decorated the home with carefully chosen vintage and thrifted pieces that honor the era of the house, giving it a stylish, one-of-a-kind personality.

It’s not just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with light, character, and a touch of retro charm.
