We are the west side of a duplex, and our side faces is the end of the culdesac so your views of the ocean are unrestricted from all rooms and decks with. There is no shared deck or living space just the stairs in and path to beach. Other half is not a rental and often not occupied, but even if it is, we rarely cross paths with people there.

Kitchen is well-stocked featuring: Stainless Fridge, Stove & Dishwasher, Stainless Calphalon Pots and Pans, Ninja Single Cup or Pot Coffee Maker, Ninja Blender for your smoothies (or margaritas!), water filter, microwave, toaster, cookware and dinnerware, basic spices, oil, condiments. We believe you should have everything you need to cook throughout your stay and to serve up a beautiful spread to enjoy with ocean views from the farmhouse table inside or outdoor dining table on the deck. (We also believe that eating out every day is OK too!)

For the littles: Baby gate, pack-n-play

Enjoy the beach life and travel lighter with a variety of provided beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, beach towels. The A/C works great and there are fans throughout to make it comfortable inside all the time.

Two outdoor showers: One as you come off the sand for a quick rinse, and then a full outdoor private shower with hot water, beneath the home.

Grill and BBQ tool kit for all those amazing "catches of the day" (propane should be there but cannot be guaranteed).

Located on a cul-de-sac, there is plenty of space out front for parking as well as safe place for kids to run and play.

We provide the basics to get your stay started: coffee, tea, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo and soap.

We are a 20 minute bike or 5 minute drive from local restaurants, the pier, mini golf, a water park, the supermarket coffee shops, wine market and more. But with views like this, you probably won't want to leave! Rent a golf cart for a fun way to enjoy driving around. Set up your own picnic on the beach every day.

In the winter, watch dolphins jump through the waves right from the back porch or ocean view windows!

In the summer, enjoy a beach that never gets overcrowded and steps from your house to the sand. Bring all your stuff and just leave it for the day. It's basically your private beach!

In the spring/fall/winter, enjoy some of the best fishing and sunset views in the area right from the surf out your backdoor and the hidden gems of North Carolina beaches that are awesome all -year long.

Lovely beach getaway

We had a wonderful family vacation at Tara and Jason's beach house on Emerald Isle. The home has breathtaking views of the ocean and is clean and well-stocked. Tara is a great communicator and ensured everything went smoothly. She's made quite a few updates since the last time we rented the duplex - the appliances are new, the faucets have great water pressure (and the outdoor shower has hot water and lighting) and the bedrooms have modern lights/fans and comfy beds. The deck also had plenty of seating to enjoy the view. Totally recommend this place and hope to stay here again in the future!

The perfect beach front home!

This beautiful home was exactly as advertised, except that the photos don’t do it justice. Upon entering the space we were met immediately with the most gorgeous views! There were also very special personal touches left just for our group. The space was clean, well maintained, well stocked with all needed essentials, and many thoughtful extras as well. My family and I stayed for 2 weeks, and we didn’t want to leave. I really can’t say enough about how perfect it was. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, spacious and well appointed place that feels like home, this is the one. If you’re questioning it, don’t, just hit book! You won’t be disappointed. We will definitely be back!

Even better than expected!

Just steps to the beach! The house, the views, the neighborhood, the communication with the owners -- the entire stay was even better than we expected! We cannot wait to return and have already recommended the property several times to friends. The main living spaces would be a bit small for a large group, but plenty of deck space to spread out if the weather is good. We stayed this time just the two of us, to confirm it would be a convenient house to return with our little ones, and the proximity to the beach and groceries will be such a wonderful convenience when returning with kids. Already looking forward to our next stay!

1st Visit to Emerald Isle

It was great !! Walk in the door and the big picture windows give you a beautiful view of the ocean right at your back door. Our family of 10 ranged from 64 years - 2 1/2. There was plenty of room for all. The owners live close by and will help you with whatever you might need. Emerald Isle offers a big variety of things to do with the kids and lots of good places to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our week

Great place to unwind and reconnect with family!

We all really enjoyed the laid back, slow pace of Emerald Isle. It was the perfect place for our multi generation visit including grandparents, great grands, and children. We all had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the deck, balconies and beach front. Would definitely return for another stay.

Beautiful beach house

We loved this beach house. It was clean, and all the bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. We cooked every day and the kitchen was great. Our favorite place at this house was the deck. It was large, with shade and sun areas. There were plenty of chairs and we could see the ocean and the sky over the sound side too! We saw dolphins a few times, and really enjoyed the deck when we weren’t on the beach. I have a disability and am currently using a walker, so having a bedroom and bathroom on the main floor was so helpful. The whole experience was great!!

Clean, quiet and right on the beach! My kids loved the bunk bed room which gave me time to relax and enjoy sitting on the private porch! Enough bedrooms and bathrooms that my mom and grandma each enjoyed their own private spaces. Really enjoyed our stay!

Fabulous Getaway

If you are searching for a house that is just steps away from the beach and has beautiful views from almost every room then look no further! This duplex is very clean and comfortable. The online pictures do not do it justice. The house is nicely furnished and the kitchen is well stocked. The two decks offer plenty of outdoor seating for dolphin watching and star gazing. The owner responds quickly to messages and is very accommodating. We had a wonderful stay and are looking forward to returning.

Perfect stay on Emerald Isle

This is a clean, well maintained property --- and the location couldn't be better! This home comfortably sleeps 6 adults and 4 children, although a full house might be a little tight on a rainy day. The main room and queen and king bedrooms each have a lovely view of the beach. Kitchen is well equipped, and every room is comfortable. We had a wonderful vacation - even with less than perfect weather!

Great townhome in EI, clean, spacious great decal with gorgeous views! Homeowner is very responsive. We had 4 adults and 4 teenagers and it was the perfect amount of space. The location is close to shops and restaurants and being on a dead end road made the traffic around us non-exsistant! Great value in vacation rental!

I can’t say enough about the property. Kitchen was perfect, deck and beach chairs were perfect, the neighbors were awesome. The location was excellent for going to the beach or running to a store. Great beachfront home!!

Adorable duplex right on the ocean! We went for a socially distanced vacation, so the little beach town was perfect. We went with young kids (5 & 3) so being so close to the beach was very convenient. Spent lots of time in the sand and on the large deck. Best part of the house was the outdoor shower!

Wonderful Week

The house was perfect for our family (6 adults and 4 kids)! It was super clean when we arrived and had everything we needed! The beds are comfortable and so is the new couch! The patio is just steps away from the beach. We did not want to leave and would definitely go back!

About: After leaving behind the grind (and politics) of California, we moved to the Raleigh area and then fell in love with the beaches of North Carolina and especially Emerald Isle. After selling some of our restaurants in California, we decided to invest the money in a place that our children could grow up going to and that would provide lifelong memories for our family and friends. We are excited to share it with others looking to experience "the pure life"- Pura Vida- and the beaches of NC are definitely that! Pristine, clean, not crowded, warm water, and the nicest people everywhere you go!

Just purchased in Sept 2021, we are slowly/quickly making this home our own and adding all the comforts and amenities we would like to see in a beach home rental. Recent updates include kitchen amenities, basic toiletries, new linens and towels and a new mattress. Our kids are also adding some favorite things to make the beach house fun for littles. We hope you enjoy the space as much as we do. There truly is nothing like waking up to the sights and sounds of the waves every day.

What makes this property unique

From the minute you walk in the front door, all you see is the sea! From all the main bedrooms, kitchen/living room, and of course the back deck. We felt the home was perfectly comfortable, cared for as someone's own, meticulously clean, and tastefully updated with picture windows and new, pristine floors. The furniture is top quality and the beds are comfortable. But it's really about the BEACH. Wide, clean, white sand and plenty of space to run, play and relax. It's close enough to walk, ride, golf cart or bike to the Pier and other shops and restaurants, but perfectly tucked back enough to be quiet and private. It can fit two families comfortably, but doesn't feel overwhelming with just a few people in it. To us, its the perfect beach house to enjoy year after year.
