Both cabaret artists, Catherine & Jean-Pierre, welcome you to a charming "maisonnette" from 1830, full of history, fully restored & revisited as a sweet vacation spot, an authentic outbuilding of the elegant neighboring mansion where they live (once linked to the artisanal weaving mill that occupied the premises). Calm & tranquility on the edge of a lane, adjoining the last washhouse of the village from 1850 (accessible & visitable), in a peaceful residential area of the center of Marcigny, a stone's throw from the central square with its old-world charm. Bordered by the Loire & nestled in the heart of the gentle, unspoiled Brionnais countryside, this picturesque medieval town has an exceptional heritage, offers many amenities all accessible on foot (shops, services & leisure facilities, just a stone's throw away) and benefits from a beautiful rural setting, a magnificent preserved setting of nature & greenery, combining beautiful wild forests, rivers & ponds with the sumptuous local bocage. Comfortable gîte nestled under "attics" with beautiful volumes. Warm country character, a touch of "vintage" with Mediterranean touches. Soft & exotic atmosphere. Large exposed & shaded gravel terrace (depending on) opening onto a pleasant & unusual enclosed garden of 1500m², crossed by a bucolic small stream full of fish, planted & very flowery, sheltering a beautiful secure fenced swimming pool (3.5 x 7m), a ping-pong table as well as 3 caravans (guest rooms). Composition: detached house neighboring the owners' house (housing another gîte) on a property with 4 guest rooms (including 2 caravans on the garden side). Wifi. Electric heating + fireplace. Single-storey gîte on the ground floor: kitchen, living room with "sleeping area" in an alcove (double bed 140x190cm), shower room (shower/Wc). Terrace (gravel) + private parking. Enclosed garden (1500m²) with swimming pool (3.5 x 7m) in common. Bicycle storage. Amenities 300m away. Supermarket 1.5 km. Unusual haven of peace "in the heart of the village", full of history & full of sweet surprises, labeled "Accueil Vélo"! Authentic outbuilding dating from 1830, fully renovated, nestled in a quiet area on a closed & well-kept property of 1500m² - with a beautiful 3.5x7m swimming pool - nestled in the heart of the charming shopping town of Marcigny, "Site Clunisois" known for its Monday morning market created in 1266 (very many amenities on site including supermarkets) & 4 km from the medieval village of Semur-en-Brionnais with the very rare label "Most beautiful villages of France". A stone's throw from the gentle surrounding Brionnais countryside, a magnificent preserved setting combining sumptuous groves dotted with ponds & beautiful wild forests, as well as the nearby banks of the Loire (the last wild river in Europe protected in a "Natura 2000 Zone" & ZNIEFF for its very rich floral & faunal ecosystems), bordered by the "Canal tranquille" linking Roanne to Digoin. Ideally located on the routes of the Romanesque churches circuit, several marked mountain bike routes labeled "VTT-FFC" (joined "in a star" to a vast network crisscrossing the Brionnais), a marked hiking trail in "green walk" (very many hiking trails of the same types to explore in the area), 1 km from the Green Way "Véloire" attached to the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de Saône et Loire by bike) connected to the EuroVélo6 cycle route as well as to the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélos", around thirty km from the first vineyards of the Côtes Roannaises & around fifty km from the vineyards of northern Beaujolais (various wine routes to explore connected to the "Route des Vins de Bourgogne"). Prime location at the very southern tip of Burgundy, in the heart of the magnificent Charolais-Brionnais region (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), cradle of the world-renowned AOC cattle breed, rich in sumptuous landscapes and an exceptional historical heritage, at the crossroads of Sologne & Montagne Bourbonnaise and Pays Roannais, not far from Mâconnais-Clunisois and Beaujolais. Prime location to easily travel to several departments (at the crossroads of Allier, Loire & Rhône): 13 km from Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais & its iconic weekly "Bestial Market" dating from the end of the 15th century (one of the oldest in France, a literal spectacle dedicated to the local Charolais star!), 21 km from the characterful town of Charlieu, 24 km from La Clayette, 25 km from Paray-le-Monial, 25 km from Digoin (river marina nestled at the convergence of 3 famous canals including the famous Canal du Centre), 29 km from Charolles, 30 km from Roanne & 55 km from the very famous PAL amusement park.
