## Emplacement
Although Ajaccio is the most touristic city in South Corsica, with its modern neighborhoods and its main roads, its city centre has managed to preserve its authenticity and the air of a small Mediterranean village. One of the first things to do in Ajaccio is to get lost in its labyrinth of the past. Out of time, full of charm, intertwined with narrow streets shaded by colourful facades and palm trees, Ajaccio’s old town is as romantic as you wish. During your walk, you will discover the citadel, the ramparts, the Place Foch and that of the Casone, the imperial chapel. The places and monuments tell you a story and sometimes, a secret garden will be revealed among the stones of yesteryear.
