This newly constructed 5th row beachfront home, in the desirable Pirates Beach subdivision, boasts stunning views and is only steps away from the sand.

The Sea Shanty is a well-appointed, one-story, 4 bedroom/3 bath home which comfortably sleeps up to 9 guests. It showcases a neutral pallet of coastal themed finishings and furnishings throughout to elicit the tranquil and serene environment desired for a home-away-from-home Texas Gulf Coast beach vacation.

Enjoy your morning coffee in the sea air while taking in the views and sounds of the ocean on the front deck. Enjoy afternoons and evenings on the partially-covered expansive back deck admiring the coastal grandeur, where dolphins can be spotted in the surf and squadrons of brown pelicans can be seen floating overhead. The back deck features a comfy outdoor seating area and a high top 6 person dining table that maximizes the views of our gorgeous public beach which is wholly unpolluted by cars.

The Sea Shanty boasts an open concept floor plan with a spacious dining area, kitchen bar seating, a sizable wet bar, and the comfortable living room features a 75” Smart TV viewable from all areas of the main living space.

The Ocean Bedroom, featuring a king bed, an en-suite bath with large walk-in shower, and access to the back deck, adjoins the main living space while maintaining privacy from the remaining three bedrooms. The Bird Bedroom, featuring a king bed and an en-suite bath with tub/shower combo, offers access to the front deck. The Oyster Bedroom, featuring a king bed, shares the hall bath and offers access to the front deck. The Bunk Room features 3 single bunks, shares access to the hall bath, and maintains security from all outside access. All Bedrooms feature smart TVs for your viewing pleasure, just bring your log-ins!

The utility room, located just off the kitchen, is equipped with HE front-loading stacked washer and dryer for your convenience.

At the ground level, the Sea Shanty offers an outdoor shower to de-sand from a day at the beach, a picnic table, a gas grill, and parking for 4 vehicles.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Sea Shanty, exterminated monthly for mosquitos and quarterly for additional pests for added guest comfort, requires a minimum rental age of 28 years, and a 2 night minimum stay. We regret that pets can not be permitted.

The Pirates Beach subdivision of Galveston offers a safe environment for you and your family. Beautiful Pirates Beach is within steps of the Sea Shanty. Within additional walking distances are Mario's Pizza, Allex’s Seafood, FrescoMart (a fully stocked convenience store that also serves food), West End Gym, and two neighborhood liquor stores (Economy Liquor and Pirates Liquor) which carry an array of libations for beach festivities.

Terrific house and a perfect layout for our three generations. We also appreciate the large stock of games and toys that excited our young grandsons. Megan was well ahead of our arrival with check-in instructions and responded quickly to our questions. I highly recommend this property if you want a comfortable stay and a short walk to the beach.

Wonderful beach house

This house was perfect for our Family vacation. The rooms were tastefully decorated, the kitchen was well stocked and the location was perfect. Our host, Megan, was very nice, helpful and easy to reach when we had questions. I will definitely come back, and I recommend The Sea Shanty to anyone that has a trip to Galveston.

We had a fabulous time at Sea Shamty. The house is practically new, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully outfitted with everything you might conceivably need during your stay. From kitchen equipment and dishes to games and beach accessories, everything was there. The adults appreciated the king beds in every room and the kids enjoyed the cute bunk room. The walk to the beach was very short and the neighborhood convenience store was close by too. We highly recommend the house and would stay there here again in a heartbeat.

Charming Beach House

The Sea Shanty is a charming beach house, just steps from Pirate’s Beach. The house is light and bright, well appointed and very comfortable. Lots of outdoor deck space, both covered and uncovered, with a nice view of ocean. We will definitely stay at The Sea Shanty on our return trip to Pirate’s Beach.

Perfect Spring Break Getaway!

This was the perfect house for our group of 9 (4 adults & 5 kids). The house came equipped with everything we needed from in the kitchen to the beach which made traveling in from out of state very easy. The proximity to the beach, bunk room and games were the big hits with the kids. Megan was the perfect host and was very responsive with any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again if we come to Galveston!

The property was excellent! Very clean, no misleading pictures, the owner went above and beyond the amount of extra amenities included, beautiful view, awesome interior, enough space and bedrooms with 3 really nice bathrooms. The owner went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and even offered to let us come early without asking since the property wasn't rented the previous night. I'd recommend this property to anyone looking for a perfect place to getaway on Galveston beach!

Family Getaway

Words cannot begin to describe our stay at the Sea Shanty! The moment you walk in you are greeted with every bit of detail and love put into this home. From the size of the bedrooms, the open floor plan, spacious bathrooms, and everything in between. Our kids LOVED the bunk room so much it was never a problem putting them to bed. We loved how close to the beach we were. Lunch was a quick walk back to make sandwiches and then immediately back to fun in the sun! The location to all the attractions can’t be beat! We will definitely be visiting again! Thank you for being amazing hosts!

Great Thanksgiving getaway!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving with family at the Sea Shanty. The house exceeded our expectations and was extremely well equipped with lovely extras which was so thoughtful and appreciated. Megan was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We had ample space to spread out and spent a great deal of our time on the huge patio that has ample seating and a wonderful view of the beach. Mornings were spent drinking coffee on the patio listening to the waves roll in! The kids (17-20 years old) loved the hammock swings and multiple games the owner provides. The beach is steps away and renting a golf cart was really fun. We are already planning on our next trip to the Sea Shanty. Thanks Megan and family for sharing your wonderful home:-)

Our stay at the Sea Shanty was absolutely amazing and more enjoyable than we could hope for. The elegant coastal atmosphere was so relaxing and like a breath of fresh air .From the deck, we had a wonderful view of the ocean and enjoyed the sound of the waves both morning and evening . The beach was within minutes walking distance from the house. All the beach items available to us were in great condition. Definitely worth every penny . Beach Perfection

We wanted to spend a long weekend away for the Easter weekend and found this to be the perfect home for it. The house is exactly as pictured. Everything is beautifully decorated with high end and comfortable furniture. The house was perfectly clean and the kitchen has all the amenities you could ask for. My boys and I loved how close we were to the ocean. It allowed us to go back and forth throughout the day to grab what we forgot or go get a snack. Or take a quick shower to rinse off salt water with the outdoor shower. If we weren’t at the beach, we would spend time on the patio with a view of the water. The house is also close to all the Galveston tourist attractions so we spent a day driving around to shop and hit up the Pleasure Pier. It was a wonderful trip in a wonderful house.

Beach House Perfection!

Our group of 9 (teens kids and adults) just had the most fantastic long weekend at Sea Shanty in Pirates Beach. What a beautiful and well appointed beach house! Absolutely everything we needed and then some was provided… we are all seasoned renters of vacation houses and we have never been in a rental that was so beautifully furnished and generously appointed with ALL the things families need when they travel. We were down on the island to enjoy Mardi Gras Galveston and enjoyed the beach chairs on the beach on our sunny days (and a wagon to haul them), We cooked two nights and the kitchen and dining area were spacious and comfortable. The deck furnishings and views did not disappoint and we had so much fun hanging out. Kids loved the swings downstairs and the bunk room, and we all enjoyed having our own king bedrooms and not fighting over who got the king! You can tell this home was built for ultimate family time enjoyment and the owners have clearly gone above and beyond to make the rental feel like you are staying at a 5 star resort. The house feels brand new and was impeccably clean… a shanty it is not. Already planning our next visit when it warms up a bit. Highly recommend this beach house rental!
