Escape to a private lakefront retreat on Lake James, tucked on a wooded ridge with views of two main channels, Mount Mitchell, and Short Off Mountain. Play pool on the screened in porch and relax on the decks or by the outdoor fireplace for stunning sunsets. Private dock included. Pontoon boat available for an additional fee. Spacious 4BR/3.5BA across two levels with lake views from nearly every room. Located in a secluded woodsy gated community.
The booking party MUST be present the entire stay - you are not allowed to book on behalf of someone else.
Excess trash must be hauled away.
Disconnecting the internet is not allowed during the stay.
No fireworks.
No subleasing.
Photo ID may be requested.

Our family had a great time. We spent nine days at the house. There were a couple minor issues at the beginning but Alyssa (property manager) handled them quickly and properly. Alyssa was very helpful before and during our stay and was quick to respond to all my questions. The house was very well stocked, has plenty of space, has incredible views and the outside and dock area were awesome as well. The on line pictures are accurate. We rented the pontoon directly from the owner and it was excellent. Lake James is very nice and seeing it from the water was even better. We will rent the house and pontoon again if we return to the area.

This beautiful Lake James home was the perfect place for our family vacation! The setting has the best view on the entire lake, the kitchen is a dream and very well stocked, the beds are very comfortable. We had a great week with children and grandchildren and would definitely go back!

Excellent Stay

We really enjoyed our stay this week. The house fit our family perfectly. We had a great time on the lake during the day and then enjoyed playing pool in the evenings. It was just a really great family time! Don't hesitate to book this place, you won't regret it!

Great Stay!!

Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful house on Lake James!! The house was well stocked and set up for our stay, nice and clean, and the perfect amount of space for our family vacation. Everything all around was fantastic, we can’t wait to come back to this house in the future!!

The panoramic view was breathtaking! The huge windows and view of the lake/mtns really make this property a unique gem. We enjoyed walking throughout the neighborhood, floating in the lake, and playing billiards on the fantastic screened porch.

great stay

The best stocked vrbo we've ever stayed in. Loved the layout with lots of smaller spaces for conversation and games. would definitely consider staying here again. The only drawback was the 100 steps to the dock.

Family Getaway

This place was beautiful! Everything was just like pictures showed. We loved the outdoor areas and pool table. Kitchen was great for preparing Thanksgiving meal for 8 adults and one infant. We also loved the views from the living room. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect lake vacation spot!

Our family had a fantastic time on Lake James. This was the perfect location and the home was wonderful. House was stocked with everything we needed and the view of the lake is just amazing. Hosts were responsive and helpful. We have already recommended this spot to friends and will most definitely be back!

Best View on the Lake

Wow! We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an amazing view of the mountains and lake. The view on the deck is spectacular but if it was too hot or rainy, the beautiful windows allowed the view to continue inside. We rented the boat for a few days and enjoyed touring the lake. Checkin/out was easy and communication with the property owner was great. We had a wonderful stay.

Family Get Together

The house was beautiful and very well equipped. Beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed the fire pit. So glad we had the opportunity to enjoy with family.
