The region around Bamberg and Scheßlitz, located on the edge of the Franconian Switzerland, offers an excellent starting point to explore the Franconian Switzerland, the numerous beer gardens and cellars in this region and the well-known world heritage town of Bamberg with the cathedral. Little Venice, new residence, rose garden and the old town with good beers invite you to linger. Many of our visitors appreciate the beautiful city of Scheßlitz, the varied nature, Franconian Switzerland, the proximity to the Steigerwald Nature Park, the Haßberge Nature Park, the Thuringian Forest Nature Park, the Frankenwald Nature Park and the Fichtelgebirge Nature Park. Around the location of the apartment you will find many interesting castles and palaces, for example, castle Seehof, the Giechburg with the mountain church Gügel and the Altenburg in Bamberg. The nearby Bad Staffelstein, a well-known spa invites you to relax and unwind in the thermal bath and the huge sauna area. Franconian Switzerland is only a stone's throw away, as Schesslitz and our apartment are located directly on the edge of Franconian Switzerland. Our apartment is therefore an ideal starting point for your discovery tour of the Franconian Switzerland. Due to the quiet location in Scheßlitz in the district Straßgiech also sporty much is possible. Directly from the house you can walk or cycle directly on signposted trails or bike ride. Also swimming, climbing, boat trips on the Main, Wiesent or on the Regnitz are possible. Many guests come to Bamberg country for the beer, in Bamberg and the surrounding area there are still about 70 breweries that are very popular with their many varieties of beers at the brewery hikers. Inn with beer garden and bakery are on site. There are shops in the 3km distant city Scheßlitz, such. B. Supermarkets, pharmacies, doctors, hospitals and inns that offer local produce. The city of Scheßlitz has its own trail brochure, on the former railway line a cycle path leads to Bamberg.
