Welcome to our wonderful 2BD/2BA rental in Grand Junction, CO! Our home is perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. With a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, and two private bedrooms, you’ll have everything you need to feel right at home. Plus, our location can’t be beat - we’re just minutes from downtown GJ, where you’ll find great restaurants, boutique shopping, and entertainment venues. Book your stay today and experience the best of Western Colorado!

The house is the perfect combination of style, function, and convenience. The space retains its vintage charm with its original wood windows, restored hardwood floors, and open layout.

The space sleeps six (6) comfortably, with one queen bed and four twin-size beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, perfect for couples, groups, and families.

As a guest, you can expect a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, high-speed Wi-Fi (400 mbps), computer workspace, living room with a flat screen TV, a kids lounge with books, games, and a retro gaming console.

The property offers off-street parking, guest-specific door codes, a security system (optional for guests), and expansive private outdoor space/patio. Because it’s a vintage cottage in the downtown area, expect the creaks, noises, drafts, and the occasional train whistles.

This house had everything we needed and then some. Everything was as described and the tea and coffee were a great touch. Location was desirable for walking to downtown. Property owner’s communication was excellent and responsive. We would stay here again.

Wonderful Stay in Grand Junction

We had a wonderful stay in Grand Junction. The house was clean, nice and comfortable. It was just a short walk to downtown where we found some great restaurants. I would stay there again if we go back.

Work and Play Getaway

The property was well equipped with everything we needed to cook, do laundry and walkable to downtown attractions! Trails are only minutes away as well.

Grand Junction Stay

Property is beautiful and perfectly situated near downtown. Unfortunately, some of the neighboring properties and tenants were a little sketchy, but nothing threatening. Overall, nice stay.

Thanksgiving with granddaughter and family

Swim weekend

I stayed here with my daughter during a weekend swim meet at the university. The house was adorable - we loved it! There was plenty of space for us and the kitchen was great for preparing meals. We loved the character of the house and it was conveniently located near the university. We would definitely stay here again!

After spending several nights in hotels on our ten day vacation The Abbott House was a breath of fresh air. It felt like home walking inside. We were delighted to find a booster seat for the dining chairs and a kids area with bean bags and books. We were able to walk down town for food and events. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful house. Well kept and very warm.

We loved the house. We slept very well and enjoyed the full kitchen. The Heater is loud but we are just not used to central heating at home. Location seems like an up and coming neighborhood. Hopefully it is.

Great Home

Really enjoyable experience. Owner was very communicative, we knew exactly what to do to check in and check out. Home is located within walking distance to old town Grand Junction and within driving distance to National Monument and restaurants, etc in the newer part of town. Love the decor in the house! It was a little tough for all 4 of us to be watching TV because the couch didn’t fit all of us and the other chair wasn’t the most comfortable but it’s not the main reason you vacation so we made it work. Neighborhood is a little rough and run down around the house itself. These would be my only complaints but not enough to not come back and stay again in the future. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Thanks for the review and feedback! We're actually adding a chair that matches the sofa, so hopefully that will make the TV area more comfortable. As far as we've experienced and despite its appearance, the immediate neighborhood is safe. None of our guests have had any issues thus far. Hope you'll come back again!

The Abbott House is fully revived 1915 cottage, right in downtown Grand Junction. It has beautiful features like original floors and windows give the house so much life and character. How did we get the name "The Abbott House"? Dalton Trumbo was an acclaimed albeit controversial writer, screenwriter, academy-award winner, and political figure in the early 1900's. He was born in Montrose, CO and spent much of his childhood in Grand Junction. One of his novels is called Eclipse; the main character of that book is named John Abbott.
