Amazing home, has everything a beach home should have and comfortable as well
We had a nice time in this spacious and well placed cottage! We especially appreciated the screen porch and upper deck for enjoying the outdoors. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were of nice size and modern. The internet was very strong and we were able to easily check in with the office while on our vacation. We did find the sofas to be dirty and sand ridden - even though cleanliness was highlighted as a feature. We ended up shaking out cushions and rugs and vacuuming. We also found there to be a lot of sand fleas/fruit flies/noseeums in the house that ate us alive until we killed them with an apple cider vinegar and soap combination that we found on the internet. We were told it is that time of year (late August) to have these bugs around, but it seemed like they shouldn't be so prevalent inside since the doors and windows were kept shut.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with my family. We had a wonderful stay and made so many great memories together. When we arrived, we were delightfully surprised to find that the house was even larger and more beautiful than the pictures suggested. It was spacious, comfortable, very clean, with little gifts and the perfect place for our family to relax after our daily adventures. We spent most of our days at Broadkill Beach swimming, fishing, searching for seashells and unique rocks, and flying kites. The beach was never too crowded, which made it even more relaxing and enjoyable. The location was perfect—just a short drive to Lewes, where we visited Cape Henlopen State Park and climbed the observation tower for amazing views. One of the highlights of our trip was our annual deep-sea fishing excursion, which was another unforgettable experience.Thank you again for opening your home to us. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to return!
The beach was full of interesting finds! Despite rain the first few days, we found plenty to do! The house was clean and kitchen was well stocked!

Scrapbooking Weekend
This house is amazing. It is beautifully decorated and well stocked. Easy walk to the beach. The only downfall was the little gnats in the house-they were terrible!
Enjoyed a great week. The house was perfect and had everything we needed love sitting on the roof deck to see the sun rise. Such a peaceful place and a nice neighborhood.

The house is beautiful and nicely decorated. We battled the fruit flies our entire stay. We forgot about them from last year. Other than that it is a really nice place.

Great House—Improve Linen Service Comms
This house was one of the best we've stayed in in Broadkill over last 10 plus years.
I'd recommend improving the procedures for the linen service. One— have your “emergency” call service able to contact the agent on call prior to 6pm. Two— have the agent on call in a position to verify the linen service delivery prior to 6pm—as in able to get in touch with linen service and verify the delivery is on its way/ or if they need to escalate the call. These steps would have avoided not getting in touch with the agent on call until 630, him being able to find out the linens wouldn't be there until 8 or 9 pm. The linen delivery window of 4 hours isn't a problem if they're delivered by 6. But when they're over two hours late and you're trying to get a two-year old and 4 year old down for bed closer to 7, it became more of a problem. This turned into both children not being able to fall asleep, then getting overtired and not sleeping the entire night, meaning no sleep for mom and dad all night. This wasn't the best way to start our vacation. All that said, we'd stay at this house and work with Coldwell again!

Amazing Place
We have been staying at 604 SBayshore Dr for the past four years. We have loved it since our first stay and it's our home away from home for a week. The house is amazingly kept. Beautiful and great amenities. The location is great and you have the beach to yourself with minimal people. Great for kids and close other beaches if you are looking for great restaurants and shopping. Thank you again for another great year!
Very spacious, clean comfortable beds. the only concern was the WiFi was sporadic. Perfect location beautiful view of the bay. Hoping for a return visit in the future.
Thanks, Jane

Steps to beach
Lovely house in perfect location steps to beach! Love the ability to come back for lunch or go on short beach walks without getting in a vehicle. Lots of space to spread out in house and outside on multiple porches. The queen bed could use a refresh as the springs are noisy and the whole bed rolls anytime someone moves.

Reviewer Comments:
We have been renting this for 4 years now. We love the home and the beaches.
We had a wonderful stay at 604 S. Bayshore Drive! There was plenty of comfortable seating for our family of seven, in the living room and at the dinner table. As a family who likes preparing and sharing food, the well equipped kitchen and the large refrigerator/freezer were a plus. The deck and screened porch were favorite spots to relax and the bedrooms and baths were great too. We had absolutely zero complaints! Broadkill Beach is a hidden gem and we hope to return next year.
House was wonderful. Appliances were very good. Very nice grill. Had milkshake maker and blender. Right next to public access which has its positives and negatives. Beach was small but not crowded at all. No real waves being on the bay but water was nice.
It was a really nice place. Loved the house and location. Only couple of things that were problematic. There were a lot of fruit flies in the kitchen which we could not rid during the week and we believe that some previous guest or owner had a cat ( our son in law cleaned up cat poop) and our daughter is allergic to cats. Otherwise it was great fun.

Hello,
Thank you for your review, we are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay. Your comment about a cat is very concerning. The owner does not have a cat and this home has a strict no pet policy. The rental office is not aware of your complaint nor was the owner? In the future, it would be helpful if you could please be sure to report any findings you feel are troublesome. We want to ensure your stay is perfect!
