Chalet La Toue in Gripp, above Sainte-Marie de Campan, Campan Valley, Hautes Pyrénées.
Located at 1000 m, the ideal altitude for humans, La Toue (which in the Pyrenees means "shelter for shepherds… and shepherdesses") is a nice family chalet built during the 30 glorious years (1965) in the heart of the Campan Valley, at the gateway to the La Mongie-Tourmalet ski area, on the Tour de France route, with a beautiful view of the surrounding peaks and the valley floor.
Relatively secluded and quiet, on an unfenced 4000 m² plot overlooking the Adour River, this comfortable 165 m² chalet is spread over two floors with a south/southwest-facing terrace, private parking (2 spaces under an awning), and a cellar for firewood and ski and mountaineering equipment. On the ground floor, there is a large living room with a fireplace/dining area and open kitchen, two bedrooms with side-by-side beds (two 80x200 cm beds), a bathroom with a bathtub, and a separate toilet.
Upstairs, there are three large bedrooms, one of which is a dormitory-style (all with 80x190 cm beds), a shower room, a powder room, and a separate toilet.
Fully equipped except for Wi-Fi, sheets, and towels.
Firewood for the fireplace.
Ideal for couples, families, 6-8 people or even more if the property is well-maintained!
The property will be left as found, or a cleaning service is available (€100 per stay).
