Very Clean. The house is nothing fancy and caters to the trail riders which is what we are! We normally camp, but needed a house this particular time and it was plenty efficient for us. We met the owners which we enjoyed and she left us treats. Very nice. Will stay again.
Parking is tight for anything bigger than 24’ trailer, single lane bridge over creek and ditches on tight side road made house difficult. House is clean and updated has electric heaters on wall which provide heat but are noisy. And portable heaters for bed room. Kitchen is small but great for a group that’s never really going to be home. Smaller sized shower as well incase you’re a big boy. Host was friendly and left a snack bowl, easy clean up as well. Beds were super soft recommend bringing own pillows and more blankets if staying in winter time.
The host was always friendly and helpful, just great people. Loved the snacks, it was a great touch. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Thelocation is great, not to far from places of interest but far enough away you did not have loud vehicles and commotion all day and night. This is a great getaway with everthing you need if you want to hit the trails, sight see or just stay in and relax. I have a corgi that can be very anxious when we travel, not eating or sleepi g good, but here he ate the night we got there and was relaxed the entire time we were there. Great environment.
The property has easy access to multiple trail systems. It is a very clean place to stay. The hosts are very polite and friendly and always are quick to respond if you need anything. Will definitely stay again.
This house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed! Close to the trails. The hosts were very friendly, even left us a snack basket for when we arrived!! This place is pet friendly which is a big plus for us!! Will definitely stay again if we are in the area and will recommend to friends and family!!

Absolutely wonderful guests! So nice and friendly! Would love to host them again!
Perfect for a quiet place to sleep after a long day of riding the HMT trails! Stephanie was great! Water line broke in the town while we were out and Stephanie had a case of water and extra water for the bathroom in case it was off a while. Water was on before we returned but she went out of her way to make sure we were good. Thanks! We should be back soon.
We had a wonderful time at the house. The owners were very sweet and welcoming! Just minutes away from some of the trails, and we rode everyday that we stayed! We will definitely be coming back in the future!

Veronica and her family were perfect guests! Left my home so clean and tidy! I hope they come back soon!
Our stay was great! Vwey easy check in and out. Jay, and Steph are Awesome hosts. They're there for you and whatever you need. They had maps of the local riding trails in the house and can also set you up with the riding permits that are required. We will definitely stay there again in the future.
We would recommend this place very highly. Comfortable and plenty of room. Stephanie went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The house was spotless! All the trails were super close to the house too. You couldn't ask for a nicer , affordable place or a nicer family .
The thought our hosts put toward our arrival is outstanding. Snacks, entertainment and even provided a trail pass for my husband to hop on the trail system. Wonderful people…. Will definitely stay again if we are near the area!❤️
first time getting the cousins together for fun adventures of kayaking the tug fork river, taking a ride on Keiths airboat and visiting old stomping grounds where our roots were made. Clean house to stay in. The firepit out back was relaxing to sit around and share our stories..Thank Stephanie for providing us with all we needed to make the stay a success!!

Walking in to the house we noticed a basket of snacks on the table. In the bathroom there were extra toothbrushs, toothpaste and such. Laundry needs and Plenty of towels! Very nice!
I love that this place was pet friendly and was very clean. Stephanie was such a sweetheart. She let us check in early with no extra charge. As soon as you walk in, she has a goodie basket waiting for you. The house is also close to the trails, and she does offer to get you Trail Permits if you don’t have them. The only negative thing I would have to say is parking. If you were to have multiple trucks/trailers it could get tight.
This little place is clean , has most of everything needed and what it doesn't, there is a dollar general right up the road. Host is very attentive and kind. Comfortable, We did have to go buy fans for the bedrooms as there is no air conditioning vents or ceiling fans for circulation, which also causes musty smell in the bathroom as well as there is a sewer gas odor. The listing indicates parking for a large trailer and it does have that IF you can get over the single lane bridge to get there. Don't take anything over 20ft.

I had no idea the bathroom had a musty smell. I discovered after my guests left that there was a leak coming from the shower. We repaired it and replaced the floor in the bathroom.
Thai was our first time in this area, the West family was 100% amazing. They answered all questions, checked in with us to make sure our stay was good. When I say this house everything, it does (except for dishwasher, lol). The house was extremely open, plenty of space. They even provided a welcome package with snacks. The only negative comments I have are parking is tight, make sure you have a Masters degree in backing up, lol. Lastly 1 bathroom, with no ventilation, and trust me when I tell you with me being the only female and 6 grown men, morning time was rough! We have stayed in a lot of cabins in WV and this one by far in our top 5.
The house is set in a great location for Hatfield riders. For outlaw riders have some pavement driving, but it wasn’t god awful. We easily made our way into KY and hit some trails there.
Food, you have to stop and eat at Trailhead restaurant in Matewan! You will NOT be disappointed. Owners are great, service is amazing, food is delicious!
