Bon Jodi's Dreamy Escape Guest House

Stop here. You've found the winter wonderland and summer dreamland. There's so much to offer every season, including a variety of games, a large bonfire pit, and a seasonal heated igloo for a unique fall and winter experience. Enjoy our indoor bar with two TVs, a pool table, arcade games, and cornhole. We know you will enjoy a relaxing vacation at our home. Our lake also boasts stunning sunsets throughout the year! Kayaks, paddleboards, water bike, and paddle boat available at no extra charge. NEW IN 2025 is Linda's Lake Vibes Boat Tours is available, and you are picked up at the end of the dock. Please see flyer in the photos for more details.

This is our guest home where the entire inside is private. We live in the actual home attached by a breezeway, so you will see us around the yard and beach at times. However, we try not to invade your privacy outside and do not use our yard and beach as we would when we don't have guests. We are social and friendly people, so feel free to reach out and chat, or just enjoy your own peace and quiet. We will respect your wishes.

We also only allow 3 cars in the parking spots in the driveway. No parking in the street. Please respect these rules and drive very slow down the road for the safety of our pets and children. There is also NO oven nor a washer and dryer. However, a Grill, induction portable cooktop, and griddle are all available for your cooking needs.

If you are bringing your pet, please add that to the reservation as there is a charge for a pet. We gladly welcome them but have had a few guests show up with pets we did not know were coming and then they are surprised by the added fee.

Do know that our dock is "seasonal" and is usually in from May until Oct. Sometimes we can put the dock in the water in April. It depends on our lovely Michigan weather. Please inquire before booking if you need to know. The dock is in place for your relaxation pleasure, at this time, we do not allow boats to be parked at this dock. No rentals available on this lake.

All dogs need to be on leashes in the yard and at the beach, so they do not invade or do their "business" in our neighbor's yard.
No animals on the furniture. We prefer you bring a dog crate or bed for your furry friend to use.
Quiet hrs: 11 pm - 8 AM. Please take off your shoes at the bottom of the stairs.

Family Christmas Getaway

Very nice home, clean and stocked well. Pretty central to things we wanted to do. I will say this home is perfect for fun in the sun with the lake right across the street. It was unique for sure.

Great Stay

We only stayed one night but wish we stayed longer. We found this place without really having plans. Once I read the listing I wanted to check it out. It was even better than I expected. It’s kid friendly and adult friendly. Whatever your situation or goals this is a very cool place to stay.

Dreamy Escape Indeed

Highly recommend this rental! There was something for everyone in my family of six. Between, the kayaks and paddle boards, the outdoor games, the game room, and televisions in the bedrooms, everybody was thoroughly entertained. The place itself is well cared for, immaculately clean, and the thoughtful owners included so many extras - kitchen appliances and utensils, juices, water, chocolate, and a coffee bar too! Check in was a breeze and communication was great, and there was an incredibly thorough binder that familiarized us with everything in the area. You can really tell that the owners care, and want their guests to feel welcome. They were very friendly, and although they live there we felt as if we had plenty of privacy. Amazing place!

Easter get away

The main level recreation/bar area was perfect for a family get together. Lots of seating, lots of entertainment with the pool table, corn hole and other games. The upstairs (bedrooms/office TV room) was very nice, clean and comfortable.

Weekend Stay

A few friends and I stayed a couple nights for a Michigan football game. Lots to do at this VRBO, the downstairs rec room is perfect if you have a group staying. Clean and had plenty of room for four of us.

Great stay

We had a wonderful stay here. We had 7 people for the evening, but only 4 stat the night. Property was beautiful and kitchen was stocked with utensils. Bedrooms were also plentifully stocked with extra blankets and pillows plus plenty of sleeping options, 2 traditional beds, 2 futons and an air mattress. We also had the pleasure of meeting a very friendly orange cat who hung out with us outside and enjoyed pets. The bar area was perfect to sit around and chat.

Great stay, great location, great hosts!

We stayed for a short weekend due to a local event. They had all the staples, quiet neighborhood, hospitable touches, super clean and really thoughtful hosts!

Owners walking around & little to no privacy

My overall impression of the property was that we would have the whole house listed in the picture. However, once we arrived at the property we realized we only get the add on addition. The listing made it seem like it was the whole property we were able to use. Also, we were constantly seeing the owners of the property. One of the owners sat by the bonfire with my friends and I. Also, while my friends and I were enjoying our time on the dock the owners walked right through my friends and I to get onto their friends boat. They walked right through our chairs, towels and bags. I totally understand that it is their property but we paid to be alone and have our own space. We felt as if we were sharing the space we paid for. If you are looking for a more private space to host a get together, please keep looking. The owners were very friendly but I think they should put more in their listing about how they will be seen on the property multiple times. Also, they do let their animals roam around the property (this wasn’t a big deal for my friends and I because we love animals) but for someone who may be allergic this may be an issue. Lastly, we did find cameras in the garage. When I contacted the property owner she stated that they were both unplugged but I had to unplug one of them. We were not told about any cameras in the property that were inside. Overall, I would not rent this place again due to not having the privacy that was expected.

Fun and Cozy

All the spaces were very clean. The rooms were plenty cool to help with sleeping on hot nights. The host offered many fun activities to keep us entertained rain or shine. Though we were guests, we felt very welcome to share this extra space.

Great Lakeside residence

Modern updated garage apartment above a large heated garage which has a kitchen, bar, and pool table. One bathroom on the main floor with plenty of hot water. Narrow stairs lead up to a 2 BR suite with nice sitting area. BRs are spacious and there is also a nice sitting deck. This property is also pet friendly. Very clean! Owner texted me with info I needed (as well as a text offering us a late checkout!). Grocery shopping is within 2 miles- also a bike trail that we did not have the chance to explore. Overall- excellent!

Hiking and overnight stay

We stayed for one night "off-season". It was a spontaneous decision to go hiking and go to breweries/pubs in the area with our dog. This is a very cool rental. We were able to order doordash, and play pool while we watched football playoffs. It is a cool set up, good vibe and perfect for our short get away. The owners are responsive and check in and check out was smooth. Highly recommend!

Cute and Cozy

We had a wonderful week staying at Nick and Jodi's garage apartment. They have done a great job making it very cute and cozy, providing lots of extras. It is in a great location and would be even more fun to stay there in the summer months.

Birthday trip

The guest house is beautiful, we all enjoyed our stay very much! The only thing is we wished there was more of a kitchen area as far as a stove/oven for us to make more meals there. The area is beautiful I think it would be a great spot to vacation in the warmer months as we were there at the end of October. We did appreciate all of the little things! Owners were not overbearing, but just a message away if we had any questions. We adored all there cats and Nelly was the sweetest baby!
