Featuring a king bedroom, nook with a twin over twin bunkbed, and living room with a sleeper sofa, this unit sleeps up to 6 guests comfortably. The bedroom includes an en suite bathroom with tub, and the additional bathroom features a walk-in shower. Snowbird Season runs November thru February. For a quote, select an arrival date (must be the 1st day of the month) and a departure date (must be the 1st day of a subsequent month). At Destin West you can enjoy extreme water fun in the 5000 square foot pool with a kiddie area, a 700-foot Lazy River, heated pool with waterfall, or one of two hot tubs. The Heron building boasts its own bayside pool that is heated year-round! Enjoy your view of the Choctawhatchee Bay, while the kids enjoy the lazy river. Cross over the sky bridge to the Gulf beaches without worrying about traffic. The beachside also has a state-of-the-art fitness center right on the beach. Charcoal grills and picnic tables on both the bayside and beachside make grilling out inviting and fun. As a guest at Destin West, you can enjoy access to the pools, bars, and restaurants located at the Island Beach Resort at Destin West beachside.

Beautiful Condo

We really enjoyed our stay here. We have stayed at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort twice before. This condo was the cleanest and most well maintained of our stays. It is convenient to the large pool and the boardwalk. The bed was very comfortable and my husband loved the recliner. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Location and Property

The unit is very close to the beach and the pool. The beach is private and easy to rent chairs. The lazy river was a hit every evening after a long day at the ocean. Close to restaurants. Highly recommend Dewey Destin - just across the bridge.

Wonderful trip to Fort Walton Beach

We just returned from a great trip. This was the perfect place to stay for our family of 4. Checkin was very easy and seamless. The lazy river is across the street but easily accessed via the walking bridge. Only one flight of stairs and steps to the beach. Several restaurants within walking distance. Also check out was very smooth and required minimal effort in our part - only requested to take out the trash and run the dishwasher.

Great Week

The unit doesn't come with any hidden extras (chairs, towels) so be prepared for that. But, it's clean, great location at the resort, and the resort is kept quiet and clean. Easy in and out.

Destin ~ 2nd time was better than 1st

This unit was fabulous! We stayed last year in a different unit same property and hands down we enjoyed this one better. All Appliances worked great! Access to beach and pool was perfect, Fresh paint and fully stocked kitchen was perfect. Beds super comfy and so was furniture. Cons, bedding was too small for master bed so kept pulling off at night, sandy floors .......... (I may have to pack my dyson for our next trip to give it a quick clean up after the beach) and the back slider was impossible to close. Weather proofing on front door bottom needs to be replaced as well. These are small nitpicky items compared to the overall state of this unit.

I'm not trying to be completely negative here. The place was cute and fairly clean. The floors really need mopped good. Did not take long at all to turn white socks dirty which tells me the floors are not cleaned regularly probably. The pics show a fairly nice view of the ocean. But these pics were apparently before the palm trees got big. If your wanting a decent view of the ocean you can't get it because of the large palm trees now in the way. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and being close to the pool, it is very pretty at night. The recliner was comfortable the couch very hard and uncomfortable. I know these places are on the beach but some rugs would make it alot more homey feeling. This is in a great location because you go out the door to your right down the elevator and your on the path to the beach or the pool, very close to the beach and that was really nice. One thing I will say for two hundred something dollars a night. There should be more trash bags, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent and coffee filters. I've vrbo for less than this and all those things were included, with a welcome basket of goodies and waters in the fridge. As far as the resort goes This is my 3rd time staying here, the pools, lazy river and and dock are very nice. They are the main reason I come back. Owners could supply more. People travel a long way and and have to go buy EVERYTHING and then just leave what's left over. I mean not even coffee filters.

Review

Microwave was unplugged when we arrived, I plugged it in, make a loud constant beeping noise. After contacting JoyVacations, several times, they came with another microwave that sat on the counter(a day later). We were short a wristband, and I reached out to them several times to get another band(it was also given to us 8hours after requested)The gym code was a mess, we were given three different codes, none of them worked. They never gave me a correct code. We relied on people who were in the gym to open the the door for us. Sliding glass door in the condo is off track and needs to be replaced, won’t book with JoyVacations again. They also messed up our reservation, said I’d receive an extra night at 50% off, but only gave me 30%.

Wonderful stay and close to everything

We were very pleased with our stay. We had 3 adults and 2 children. There was room for the pack n’ play in the master bedroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and large. Both bathrooms are great size. The master bedroom has a bathtub/shower. The second room with the bunk beds has a smaller bathroom with a shower. The bunk beds are comfy and spacious enough for an adult to fit. My husband is 6ft and fit. The living room has a pull out couch (queen size) which was reasonably comfortable. The kitchen has all utensils and dishwasher. We made pizza in the oven one night and were delighted to see a pizza cutter was in the drawer. Plus a pan. The room has a washer and dryer which was awesome! The balcony overlooks the pool on the second floor and you can see some of the gulf! Beautiful view! The only con which I can say is understandable given you’re coming from the beach is the floors were filthy. Our feet were black from the floor. They could use a really good clean. The sliding door needs to be fixed. Very hard to open and close but we managed. Those cons wouldn’t keep me from coming again, i definitely would stay here again. It would be nice to see those be corrected. We enjoyed the pools so much! The condo was in walking distance to the island next door which has amazing breakfast buffet. Then the resort next to them has lots of restaurants. Walking distance to beach bars, gift shops and more. You can bring your own pool floats with to use in the pool.

This was our 2nd spring break trip with the kids to Destin West and we can’t wait to come back next year! Easy access to the beach and a quick walk across the Sky Bridge to the bayside pools and lazy river. Take a quick beach walk to The Crab Trap, Rockin Tacos etc for dinner. See you in ‘27!

Condo was exactly as described - but the dishwasher and blender did not work, and sliding glass door was stuck open. Property manager dropped off new blender, provided plastic / paper goods since dishwasher did not work, sliding glass door was stuck open during our stay.

Upfront and Relaxing

Absolutely loved the condo! Well-stocked and clean with a beautiful view. The easy access to parking, beach, pool, and the other resort features was fantastic. The pools were beautiful and spacious and my kids loved the (multiple) heated pool options. And fun fact - Papa Johns will deliver straight to your condo door! We went out to the beach around 8/9am and 4/5pm and the crowding was very minimal at those times. At some times, we were actually close to being alone. We plan to come back soon!
