Such a sweet property, especially with the history. Very convenient to great food, things to see and do. Every convenience needed on the property with a wonderful courtyard that makes it feel secluded, even in the middle of King St activity. Very easy to hop on the trolley to the Metro if you're wanting to see the sights in DC. Host is very responsive and helpful.
Just steps to delicious restaurants, adorable shops, and historic homes. Parking garages are very reasonable. (17 overnight) King Street was entertaining. About a 20 minute walk to Trader Joe’s to pick up snack, snacks, water, etc. Lower carriage house was perfect for my husband and I had everything we needed. Definitely recommend staying at this top-notch location. I will be recommending this place to friends.
What a great stay! Right in the heart of Old Town Alexandria! A short walk from everything we wanted to do! We loved the quaint layout of the carriage house! We had everything we needed! Owner was very responsive to one minor concern we had. We will definitely stay here again!
The property was cute, clean and comfortable. The location couldn't have been better. I would stay here again.

The host was super nice, the area is perfect. Everything was provided and loved being there, perfect place to get away from my conference across the river. I will definitely return next year. Thank you!
Great location - steps to everything. Great Host- very responsive. Lovely stay! We pulled out the trundle bed the second night because we’re used to a king bed. Mr. is tall so he appreciated the very tall shower head. Unexpected- a late night trumpet serenade was very romantic and it turns out a famous local guy!
We had such a great stay at 107 South Lee Street! The house is full of Old Town charm but still has all the modern comforts you’d want. You really can’t beat the location — just a short walk to King Street, great restaurants, cute shops, and the waterfront. The home was super clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. The bed were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked, and we loved having coffee in the morning while watching the neighborhood wake up. It honestly felt like home the minute we walked in.The host was super friendly and easy to communicate with, and check-in was a breeze. We’d definitely stay here again next time we’re in Alexandria!
This is a great little place to stay while exploring Old Town. It is great to have a kitchen and is perfect for a couple needed some time away. We really loved touring the Carlyle House and the Saturday morning Farmers Market! Thank you!
Very clean, comfortable, convenient and quiet though steps from lively King St. Would recommend for short or long term stays.

About the host

As a veteran, I renovated this property to restore a part of American history. It is located on the oldest functioning property in Old Town, which dates back to 1750. The original owner of the property was Lawrence Washington, George Washington's half brother. George Washington surveyed and purchased the property for Lawrence. Truly, you will be walking in the unique footsteps of pre-revolutionary American heros.
Why they chose this property
Location: At this location, you would be 50 feet from the intersection of King and Lee Street, which is the most popular location of all the best restaurants in Old Town, all of which have outdoor seating. Additionally you would be just a block and a half from the Potomac and the park that runs along the water (with ferry access) all the way to DC. You simply cannot beat this location.
Parking: There is on-street paid parking from Monday through Saturday, and street parking is always free on Sundays and federal Holidays. Unpaid parking is available 150 feet (west) in the Burke and Herbert parking lot after 5pm on weekdays and after 1pm on Saturdays. You also have the option to park at the covered garage immediately across the street between Lee and Union Street (115 S Union Street) for $17 per day and $10 overnight (sign details below). There are 3 other lots all in about a 1.5 block radius as well with similar rates.
Metro/Trolley Service: A benefit of the location is that the King Street Trolley is a free shuttle that runs to the metro every 15 minutes. It starts one block from the house (City Hall/Market Square) and ends at the King Street Old Town Metrorail station. It runs from 11am to 11pm, seven days a week, including holidays.
What makes this property unique
This is the oldest functioning property in Old Town, which is the closest property to the intersection of King and Lee Street. Truly the heart of one of the most iconic small towns and the most beautiful streets in America.
