The ground-floor holiday apartment "Sommerby Garden" in the "Sommerby" house offers 68 m² of living space plus a large south-facing terrace, accommodating up to four people. It's ideal for families who want to enjoy the spacious garden, which offers plenty of room to run around, beautiful sunsets, and mature fruit trees.
The bright apartment is furnished in a modern country style. The open-plan living/dining area with kitchenette is bathed in natural light, and the south-facing terrace, which enjoys sunshine from 10 am onwards, is just offshore.
The apartment has two bedrooms and a shower room (with underfloor heating). One bedroom has a double bed, and the other has a bunk bed and a small sofa bed.
A washing machine and dryer are available on the ground floor for shared use with the apartment upstairs.
The Baltic Sea is approximately 4.5 km away, and the beach can be reached in 10 minutes. The walk to Weidefelder or Schönhagener Strand leads through the fields by the sea and is a scenic experience in itself. You can use the bicycles belonging to the house (however, we cannot guarantee against damage caused by previous use). Please treat the bicycles with care. An 11 kW charging station for electric cars is also available.
The Weidefelder Strand beach, approximately 4 km away and free of tourist tax, has long been known for its excellent bathing water quality. It offers a wide stretch of white sand behind unspoiled fields, a beach restaurant, a surf school, and lifeguard services provided by the German Lifesaving Association (DLRG). Excursions to the Geltinger Birk nature reserve, Maasholm, the nearby towns of Arnis, Kappeln, or Siseby are recommended at any time of year. Glücksburg Castle, with its old orangery and new restaurant, as well as Gottorf Castle Museum in Schleswig, can be reached by car in about 40 minutes.
