Hello Lori While it is always good to receive reviews, seems that most people do not take time to write them when they are happy. It is unfortunate that you choose to write a less than happy review after the manager took time to assist you with your computer work. Also, as explained, due to the pandemic procedures, face clothes were not provided during last year. You did request them and the housekeeper purchased new ones and brought them to you the first day. Beach towels are not provided as people take them off the property and loose them. Propane is provided. The rules are regular vacation rental rules, nothing out of ordinary. It is a shame that you did not enjoy this beautiful property as others do. We take pride in always updating and providing a wonderful vacation property to or guests.

Hello Vic Thank you for taking time to write a review. We are happy to hear that your family enjoyed the property. The issues you mention here come as a surprise. I wish you had mentioned these to the maintenance crew or me. We do supply hand soap and toilet paper in each bathroom. Sorry to hear you struggled with the hill. The listing pictures do show the hillside and stairs to the beach. The new garbage collection company failed to provide enough cans this summer. This issue is being addressed at the local township level. Wishing you all the best.

Hello Victoria. It is a shame that you did not review the numerous photographs on this listing. They show grass right down to the water's edge. There is no sandy beach shown. Likewise the boathouse never mentioned a bathroom and actually it is not permitted to have bathrooms so close to the lake. Regarding the lawn, the good weather sometimes dries up the lawn. During your stay the weather was extremely hot and dry. The area is transitioning to a new refuge company and unfortunately they did not provide multiple garbage cans this summer. This issue is being addressed. Had you contacted us during your stay, all issues would have been dealt with.

Hello Marc Thank you for your review. Always appreciate them. But your comments come as a surprise since you did not mention these complaints during your stay. We communicated and your concern about garbage was fixed immediately. I hired the landscaper to come and remove all garbage which he did. The garbage was an issue as I told you, due to previous guests producing way too much garbage. There are 8 large cans, the maximum that anyone is allowed to have. I had just purchased a brand new bbq and you had two others. The head housekeeper did visit you and showed you the reason there may be condensation in the lower level is because you had turned off the a/c and the dehumidifier. You assured her everything was great and she did not need to come back. We take pride in guest's comfort and have a great team nearby to attend to any issue immediately. If you had communicated any of these issues, they would have been dealt with. Writing these here is too late unfortunately. The house is newly renovated and should not really have such issues, but of course anything can happen, just need to communicate promptly. I am sorry you did not enjoy yourself. Wishing you a good rest of summer.

Hello Pete! Thank you very much for taking time to write a review. We are so glad you had a wonderful time on Powers Lake and at Villa Finlandia. Indeed due to hot humid days, we keep a humidifier in the lower level. We are sorry that the one that was there was having issues. We are going to have the heating and a/c company come and add onto the central a/c, an improved dehumidifying element this fall. As far as the garbage pick up goes, it is a challenge as this is country side and they will not offer customized pick ups, not even more more money. We have paid for extra cans to facilitate to flow. But unfortunately some guests produce way too much garbage filling up the cans. We are looking into private garbage pick up options, so that when there is overflow, we can call for special pick up. Thank you for your input on this, we appreciate it. Have a great winter and we look forward to your return next summer !

Thank you very much for taking time to write a review. We are very glad that you had a great time at Villa Finlandia during your Thanksgiving holiday. Please do return during summer, as the place takes on a totally different feel, the summer at Powers Lake is truly magical! Happy New Year !!!

Hello Konrad Thank you for taking time to write a review. We are very happy to hear that you had a wonderful time at Villa Finlandia. I am sorry about the musty air in the lower level. It is always a good idea to open windows on the lower level to have fresh air come in, especially since there are so many windows all around and even with a lake view. We wish you a wonderful fall/winter and look forward to your return !

Hello Lori, Thank you for taking time to write a review. I am glad that you and your group had a wonderful time. I wonder if you noticed that there were 3 extra fridges there, two in the bar in the lower level and one in the boathouse. These are good for drinks so that the fridge can be freed up for food items. Also there is a new gas grill ready to use in storage, had you contacted me right away, I would have had it switched for you. But indeed there is a choice of grills and I am glad you found the charcoal grill. Wishing you a wonderful rest of summer and hope to see you next summer again !
