Romantic 4 1/2 Stars Art House by the Sea in Cape Breton

The BEARDMANS Art House by the Sea is a lovely and romantic vacation home in Cape Breton. The house sits direct on the Ocean with access to the beach. In 2018, this outstanding house will be available for the first time as a vacation home. It was the former art studio and inspiring home for NYC artist John Beardman, who build the house by Feng Shui principles. The BEARDMANS Art House by the Sea is an one of a kind lovely and magical place and offers 5 acres of privacy on the Ocean.

2 bedrooms on the second floor share a large balcony with spectacular views of the ocean and beautiful sunsets. There is also a third bedroom and a bathroom with shower and bathtub on the second floor. The house has an open concept kitchen, dining room and living room. The living area of the vacation home is about 1500 sqft.

The BEARDMANS Art House by the Sea is located at the beautiful "Canada’s Musical Coast" directly on the scenic Celtic Shores Coastal Trail, which offers many activites on your doorstep. The Cabot Links Golf Course is a 50-minute scenic drive away and the famous Cabot Trail is around 1h 10 min by car.

There are many other things around such as:
- The Celtic Music Interpretive Centre in Judique
- Port Hood and Mabou with sandy beaches
- Port Hawkesbury with all the big grocery stores.

Our guests have sole access to the 5 acre property with beautiful flower gardens and surrounding trees. You have your own romantic getaway. Behind the house you will find your own stairs down to the beach.

We will be there to greet you when you arrive. If you like, we'll give you a guided tour of the home and property. Then we will leave you with keys in hand so that you can settle in and enjoy your vacation to the fullest! During the warm summer days we may pop by to water flowers and to upkeep the maintenance of the property. If you need anything at all, we live close by and are always available to help out with what you may need during your stay. We're looking forward to meeting you and making you feel at home!

Amazing views

Had a great stay. Marcus and and Stephanie were excellent hosts and very helpful with tips on what do and where to eat in the area. The property is very private with amazing views. Only suggestion is adding laundry facilities for extended stays.

Wonderful house in terrific location!

This house if a wonderful place for vacation to Cape Breton. You have privacy and yet you can quickly get to tourist locations and shopping areas. I loved getting up early and taking the stairs down to the beach for a morning walk. The house is brand new with much recent interior renovation. Everything was perfect.

Quiet hideaway

Peaceful spot. Beautiful, well stocked, very clean home. Some markings at the end of the driveway to help us locate it in the evenings would have been helpful. The gardens are beautiful but have grown over the pathways a bit. We would stay here again. We had a relaxing time in this comfortable home with water views.

Superbe demeure bien décorée et très confortable avec une vue magnifique sur l’océan. La plage est belle et l’eau est assez chaude pour se baigner. L’aménagement extérieur est aussi superbe avec ses jardins et coins pour relaxer. Mention aussi pour la grande chambre des maîtres ensoleillée avec coin salon; mon coup de cœur dans la maison :)

Absolutely brilliant

Perfect location, perfect property. Really, it’s just heavenly. As frequent travellers, this rental won handily. Our family of four would have loved a washing machine—even without a dryer. The clothesline was put to good use. We will certainly be back again.

A Wonderful Week

We traveled to Cape Breton this summer, for special events and vacation excursions in the area. Spending a week at The Beardman Art House by the Sea truly enhanced our adventure. The eclectic charm of the home, the carefully displayed artwork, the beautiful gardens and the intriguing ocean access helped to highlight our trip. The owners have created an inviting and comfortable space that pays homage to the original intent of the home and to the artwork of John Beardman.
