Surroundings
The Goldgrube-Rauris lies on the outskirts of the village of Bucheben. Wonderfully quiet, low-traffic, audible silence but rich in opportunities for a nice summer vacation or a snow-sure winter vacation. Hiking, skiing, biking, cross-country skiing, swimming, tobogganing, horse riding, winter hiking, excursions, skiing tours. The gold mine is the perfect starting point for a wide range of excursions in the area.

The Rauris Valley was one of the world centers of gold mining in the Middle Ages. Everywhere you can still find traces of that time. The house is built on the spot where the last professional gold washer went about his craft. Today the house owes its nickname to this activity.

Alpenrose for 2-4 people (50 m²)
Alpenrose has, living room with an open fireplace for comfort. The living room spends on a balcony with a view of the garden and the Schareck glacier. In the apartment you have free WiFi and cable TV with a wide selection of German TV channels. There is a pull-out coach in the living room.
In the kitchen you will find 4 hot plates, an oven, a fridge with freezer, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, microwave. In the kitchen there is a cozy corner table for breakfast, dinner, playing games or, if need be, working
Of course there is a shower / toilet.
If required (and availability) you can rent an extra double room with shower and toilet for € 15 per night.

In the garden there are various terraces with morning sun or afternoon sun or if you want shade. where you can enjoy the vacation and nice weather.

For the winter guests there is a ski crystal with a shoe dryer. In summer you can park prams and co.

In the house there is also a sauna with a large relaxation room with showers. In the sauna there is also an infrared cabin for those who do not want it to be so warm. Our rustic gold panning room and is clad with old wood. Large families or groups can chat, play games or play the piano after their daily activities.


For families with small children we have one or more cots, high chairs and a baby bath. In winter we are happy to provide a few sledges for the children free of charge. In the garden, the children can go sledding, snowman or building an igloo. When the clothes are dirty you can hand in your laundry.

In the house there is a sauna with relaxation room, infrared cabin and a solar bank.

Whether you want to take one or two or even more dogs with you, your four-legged friends are welcome in the gold mine. Not only dogs but also cats, rabbits and parrots have already enjoyed a wonderful holiday with us. We have a playground for your dog (s). There the dogs can romp quietly or try to master a slalom, jumps, tunnels or bridges. There is a stream to cool off.
Going for a quick walk is possible directly from the house.


Summer activities:
In Rauris you can go on a lot of interesting hikes in the Hohe Tauern National Park. There is a large selection for inexperienced or practiced. You can also take a hike into the Valley of the Vultures every week with the National Park Ranger, climb several 3,000 meter mountains - take (guided) mountain tours .., or spend the hot days in the beautiful Sonnblick bath, (mini) golf play - mountain biking - horse riding. . .
For the children, 'gold panning' is a very special experience. In the Hüttwinklache or up at the Hochalmbahn. There are many excursion destinations in the area: Rauriser Hochalm Bahn, thermal bath in Bad Gastein, Eiswelten, Salzgrube, Stad Salzburg- (Sound of Music / Festspiele) stad, Großglockner Hochaplenstraße, wildlife park, bird of prey, bearded vulture breeding station and much more.

Directly from the house you can climb a 40 km cross-country trail or go on a winter hike.
Snowshoeing with trained guides in the snow-covered valley is also something very special.
Ski touring lovers or those who would like to become one can do their sport in the Rauris Valley almost without end -. In Rauris there are entry-level courses where you can learn how to ski.
In Rauris there are beautiful toboggan runs.

How to get there: Ferienhaus die Goldgrube is located in the municipality of Rauris in Bucheben. Rauris is located in the Salzburg district of Zell am See. Via the motorway (vignette required) from Munich towards Salzburg. From Salzburg, take the A 10 towards Villach - at the Bischofshofen exit, take the B 311 towards Zell am See. After Taxenbach, turn right into the Rauris Valley. Or you can come to the Autobahn-München and exit 112 Traunstein / Inzell in the direction of Lofer - then take the B 311 in the direction of Bischofshofen / Salzburg. Before Taxenbach you turn right into Raurisertal. You can also take the train to Rauris / Taxenbach station and from there take the regular bus to Rauris or Driving Rauris Bucheben.
In winter, winter sports buses - trains from Holland and Germany to Zell am See. We will be happy to pick you up from there or from Taxenbach / Rauris train station.

Prices for 2 people. Each additional person (up to max. 4 people) € 10 per person and night. If available extra bedroom € 15 per night. For people aged 15 and over Energy & Tax contribution € 3.50 per day.
For Christmas / New Year's Eve and Carnival week and in July and August, SA-SA is only rented per week.
Pets are welcome, dogs € 4.00 per dog per night.
