And we still have many available weeks this Spring & Summer 2026! Beautifully located in the heart of San Diego's historic & central Uptown District - this bright and airy customized home offers style and privacy for a family of 4 or two adult couples traveling together! A well-behaved pet is also welcome. The dramatic Open Floorplan boasts vaulted beamed ceilings, a switch-activated gas fireplace, comfortable Pottery Barn and Italian leather furnishings. and gleaming hardwood floors. The open Kitchen is stocked with high-end appliances and cooking tools for the chef-enthusiast. There are 2 bedrooms, separated by private hallways, each bedroom with a high quality King bed and accompanying bathroom with walk-in tiled showers. Enjoy climate-controlled mini-split air-conditioning or thermostatically controlled heating by room, plus the cozy warmth of the Living Room's gas fireplace. Out front - relax under the pergola adjacent the stone driveway which provides one on-site parking space. At the east side of the house - slide glass doors open to enjoy a very private deck terrace - an ideal spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. This quiet chalet was just as advertised. The house sits in a small, quiet cul-de-sac. Check in was super easy and Kent was very responsive and made great suggestions for dining and grocery within walking distance. The house had everything you could need or want. We loved being able to walk to the local coffee spot for our morning drinks and to the local ice cream joint for unique flavors at the end of our busy days. Try out Jo's Diner, La Puerta and What De Health Thai - all were delicious.Highly recommend this property - such a great location and house.

The property is an excellent vacation rental. The location is perfect. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and a very nice grocery store. It is also near Balboa Park and various other attractions. The home is very clean and has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you will need and excellent appliances all around. The furniture and beds are all very nice and comfortable and there is air conditioning which keeps the entire house cool. There is parking for one car in the driveway which is very convenient and a short distance to the front door. The home is on a nice and quiet street with friendly neighbors. There is also a very nice private deck with a table and chairs that overlooks the yard and plantings. The host, Kent, is responsive, friendly and helpful with information on the area. We would definitely book this rental again.

We loved our time in this home in Mission Hills! Can walk to local supermarket, restaurants and coffee shops. And it's centrally located to explore the sites of San Diego (Balboa Park, Coronado, and Point Loma). Parking space is out front so we didn't have to worry about finding a spot on the street.Home is gorgeous with a fully outfitted gourmet kitchen, lovely porch for coffee in the morning, and a 2 master suite layout that was perfect for the four of us. It's at the end of the street in a quiet neighborhood so it was an oasis to come home to at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. Kent was an outstanding host as he was very responsive in making sure we got settled in and he provided some excellent suggestions on local restaurants to try and where to find free parking near the beach. Loved our stay here - it is a gem! Will book again next time we visit SD!

We have stayed in many vacation properties. This one is at the top of our list. It was so comfortable and clean with every amenity we needed plus more. This pride-of-ownership single family home in centrally located upscale Mission Hills still has some available dates between Aug 31 - Sept 23, 2024. Guests love its Uptown central location, the high beamed ceilings, open floor plan, and its very private dining terrace with views! The European owners purchased this property as a second home, dividing their time between Germany and San Diego. They are pleased to offer their special home on Eagle Street as a short term rental six months a year. Extensively remodeled, this custom home has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each bedroom has a separate hallway, with comfortable King Bed, and an adjacent bathroom w/tiled shower. The spacious Great Room offers an L shaped Italian leather Sectional and Pottery Barn Recliner, Smart TV w/full cable & streaming options, dining table with seating for 6, and open Kitchen with high-end appliances. On a cool night -- enjoy the switch-activated gas fireplace near dining area. On a warm afternoon flip on the Air Conditioning, or open tall sliding glass doors to the private deck with peaceful canyon views. It's an ideal spot for morning coffee or evening meal after an active day at the zoo or nearby beaches. Why they chose this property

This is a custom built pride-of-ownership home. The owners have upgraded it extensively since purchasing it 10+ years ago. They divide their time between Germany and San Diego, but are always delighted to return to their San Diego "home" on Eagle Street. They love walking to nearby food markets and restaurants like the Red Door, the local ice cream shop on Goldfinch St, or the gourmet cheese shop on Washington Avenue. There are outstanding food markets 2 blocks away, and on Sunday one can visit the huge Farmer's Produce Market in nearby Hillcrest. This prized Uptown location can't be beat! Balboa Park, the Zoo, Downtown, Little Italy, and the Airport can be reached by Uber or a rental car in just minutes.

What makes this property unique

When a central location and a detached single family house are desired - this is the property to choose! Ideal for 2 couples or a family of 3 or 4 as there are two separate bedroom w/bath wings while the central Great room accommodates all comfortably -- someone cooking in the open kitchen, someone working at a desk, others relaxing on the sectional or lounging outside on the terrace.
