Very easy communication and check in process. Well equipped kitchen. Appreciate not having to book strict Sat-Sat schedule! Nice, simple, comfortable beach house.

This nice little cottage is a short walk to the beach. The street is quiet and Salvo is very laid back. Check in was easy and house was well equipped and maintained. Pro tip: The name of the WiFi network is on the back of the router.

Cozy and Private

Had a great stay. The place is tucked back off the road and surrounded by trees and bushes. It feel very private. Deck, crows nest, and screened in area were a super bonus. Loved the short easy walk to the beach. The host was fantastic and communication was a breeze. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Great Stay

Check in was easy. We were three adults staying here and it was plenty of space. Beds we really comfortable. House is a little walk from the beach but for the price absolutely worth it. Would stay again!

Very clean and awesome spot for exploring the outer banks

We really enjoyed the our stay here. The location was conveniently between Hatteras and Kitty Hawk, so we explored north one day, south another and went to the beach the other days. The house was very clean, adequately equipped and within walking distance of the beach. Plenty of good food just down the road at Good Winds and Neptune's.

Peaceful Paradise

Nice home close to the beach away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas of Outer Banks. Walking distance to the Atlantic and just a short drive to the inlet side.

Cozy getaway

Nice location and amenities. The walk to the beach isn’t terrible and we loved the crow’s nest and the outdoor shower. Only complaint is that there was trash left when we arrived and no toilet paper or paper towels, otherwise cozy stay. Host responds very quickly and check in is easy.

Nice vacation

House was just the right size for the 6 of us,4 adults/2 children. It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive to the sound. Loved the horseshoes and bb hoop.

salvo vacation

The house suited our family of eight very well. Lots of yard toys and games to occupy the kids in a semi secluded yard well off the road. The uncrowded beach was just a short walk from the house. Neighborhood was quiet and views of the night sky were excellent. We would go there again.

Great property for small group

Property was as described. Dealing with the owner (I ask a lot of questions) was so easy. She replied to every question quickly. Walk to the beach was not as long as I thought it would be. Was nice to find a smaller home for just the 5 of us to get away for half the week. Was one of the best stocked kitchens I’ve ever stayed at. Had more supplies then the house that slept 20 we rented last year.

Great for families with young kids

We had a great time. The layout worked perfectly for our family of 5 young kids. And everyone fit at the dining table. The outdoor shower helped us keep the sand out. Neighborhood was quiet, beach was a quick easy walk, house was comfortable. Our only issue was that we requested bedding and bathroom towels but neither were there which was frustrating and left us in a pickle with all the kids. But other than that we enjoyed our stay.

I booked towels and sheets for your stay. Did you call the cleaning company upon arrival to report they were not left? Did a call to the cleaning company get these items delivered to you? If not I need to know so I can address with that company. Thank You

Cozy home,close to beach and coffee

This cozy home was nice for our family vacation. Tucked back off the road so it was private and not a lot of street noise. Very clean. A 5 minute walk to a non crowded beach and a 10 minute drive to the deli, souvenir shopping, and coffee shop. Tackle store was just a little further down. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Master bedroom had its own bathroom. 2nd bathroom was in the hall and conveniently located for the other 2 bedrooms. Kitchen was stocked with the pans and utensils we needed. I do suggest taking extra toilet paper and paper towels. Basic amenities were there, but I'm glad I took extra. I really enjoyed the home and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Relaxing and enjoyable

The communication with our host was great. She was helpful and always replied right away. The house wasn’t as clean as I would have hoped; when I talked to the cleaning service they said the house was trashed by the family before us and apologized. I also was bummed to not have a dish cloth and towel or garbage bags. The only thing with checking in is that we didn’t have service to pull up the key code, so it took awhile to get in. (I advise you to write it down or take a screen shot on the welcome message.) Overall, a very cute beach house with a convenient walk to the beach and ice cream!!

Thank you for your review. I am sorry my cleaning company did not clean as they are expected to do. I wish you had reached out, I would have contacted them on your behalf. As for supplies, I try to leave a good amount of supplies under the kitchen sink but am at the mercy of renters replacing what they use up. I will be sure to restock when I am there in a week.

Overall a great little cottage!

My group of 8 (4 adults & 4 children ages 3 & 8) stayed here for 6 days and enjoyed our stay! The house is set in a small community close to the beach. The house was very comfortable! We liked having an outdoor shower plus washer and dryer, which made our stay even more comfortable after long beach days and wanting to get all cleaned up! Trisha is an excellent host and very communicable!! When we arrived we had a slight issue with the towels and sheets not being available, but within an hour of correspondence they were delivered to us! We also experienced halfway through our stay, the coffee maker died… it happens! However, Trisha made sure we were able to have our morning Java and all of us adults really appreciated that!! Thank you again!!We did not walk onto the beach using the nearby access because we drove our trucks on at nearby ORV access points, so I can’t speak on how accessible the beach is right from the house.One thing I will mention- which took one star off my rating- was that the deck railings seemed to need some love! One of the balusters on the main deck was not secured and falling off and the top “birds nest” deck railing wiggled when leaned upon. I understand that things weather over time, but as a parent, that was concerning. There also was not a view of any water from the “birds nest” (as mentioned in description) because the surrounding trees have all grown in, so that was a bit misleading.All in all, it was a great week!! Thank you!!

Great Location

We had a great time at our stay in this cottage. The location is great to get to the beach and it is centralized to other activities in the area! The beach was never crowded and provided an amazing view for the sunrise!

Great cottage!!

We loved our stay in the OB! The cottage was well located, nice and well equipped! I suggest you bring a wagon to take all the stuff to the beach…. It is not that far, but you have to walk…..
