Great Place, Jessica was great, meeting Daphany & Mable[ doggies] was a bonus. We stayed in suite 2 bed was very relaxing, we really enjoyed our stay and will def be back.
Our stay was wonderful! Jess met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the Inn. She was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. We had everything we needed in our suite. Our stay was wonderful.
The property is very nice, a beautiful historic home. The rooms are so comfortable, clean and well stocked with all you need. Jess was very accomodating, helpful and very personable. We enjoyed our stay very much.
I’m so glad I found this place. Jessica is a great host and her home is stunning and so comfortable. The suite was clean, comfy and cozy. The style is very period correct but all the modern amenities to be comfortable. I slept so good and left relaxed. I recommend to anyone looking for a great experience and relaxing trip.
We stayed one night, 3 of us. In 2 of the suites. Our host was absolutely lovely, very accommodating. The rooms were comfortable, clean and cozy. The house is has a historic feel from the old south. Modernized enough for comfort but, retaining the history of the area. We enjoyed it thoroughly. We were only sorry our stay was one night. We will definitely come back. A great time...

Worn out but unique
The room and the contents were worn out. The tub in the room was unique. The closet for the toilet was good. Clean but very worn out. Host was on top of everything. She reset the circuit breaker within minutes. She was friendly and kind. She was the best part of the stay.
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. It is a beautiful old home that is lovingly being taken care of by the home owner. When I booked the stay, I was a bit concerned about the railroad tracks being located next to the home. I needn’t have been concerned. A train did go by while we were enjoying a glass of wine on the deck. It was fun to experience. Apparently another went by during the night - though I did not hear it. The homeowner gave us a bottle of wine, and said we earned it. 😄
The homeowner is very personable, we enjoyed our conversations with her and she made good recommendations for dining and shopping.
We will stay at the Magnolia Inn again!
We loved this beautiful historic home. We wished we could’ve stayed longer. I’m sure I’ll come here again. The owner is delightful and very easy to deal with.
Hello, I communicated with property manager daily as to storms route. Last communication she stated heavy wind and rain. I was unable to reply as the email communication through VRBO kept scrolling like it was trying to load. I have been unable to communicate through the vrbo site with her, however I did dispute the room charge with my bank. Thank you , Cindi
The room was lovely. It was clean and welcoming. The home was quiet. Snacks were available in the common area and our room was equipped with a Keurig and pods.
The host did a splendid job communicating with us. She left battery candles on for us as a bad storm was approaching. Although no power was lost, the host assured that the home was prepared for such an event.
I look forward to returning in the future.
I'm a former English teacher and International Development worker who decided to move home to start a bed and breakfast after years of working overseas. On my search for the right house, I found this neoclassical home in Magnolia that needed me almost as much as I needed it. Rather than wait years of chasing a dream of having the house in perfect condition, in May of 2021 I decided to open up as-is and share the renovation journey with my guests. And as they say, the rest is history!
Daphne, the Great Dane has been the perfect house mascot. I brought her home at 6 weeks old in April of 2020 and I couldn't imagine life without her. She isn't particularly handy when it comes to house projects, but that doesn't stop her from trying! Daphne loves having guests at the house and is pretty convinced that everyone has come just to see her.
Daphne and I live in the back portion of the house and will be here to greet guests and make and do everything we can to ensure they enjoy their stay.
Why they chose this property
When you first drive up to the house, it is impossible not to be swept up in the beauty and elegance of the towering front columns. The giant southern magnolia trees and the large front porch feel like something out of a movie!
What makes this property unique
Each of the four cozy suites are equipped with their own private bathrooms. The house is also available for small events.
