Your home away from home on Lake Murray! Spacious, modern clean, home with 3 levels of living including 3 spacious decks, screen porch, and sunroom all with massive lake views! Three bedroom three and half baths, plenty of room for your family and friends to spread out. Outdoor spaces include private balconies off main floor master and upstairs bedroom, screen porch on main level, front and side porches, and a large lakeside lower-level deck with lots of comfortable seating to enjoy beautiful Lake Murray sunsets! Lower- level game area includes indoor/outdoor fun with a lakeside pool table, ping pong, fooseball, electronic darts, corn hole, croquet, badmitten, and life size connect 4! Enjoy the games while lakeside grilling and laughing around the fire pit!
Main living level boasts well stocked kitchen, living room with TV, sunroom with TV, dining/game room, Lakeview primary suite with TV and ensuite bath, and screen porch. There is an additional half bath on this level as well as a separate laundry area with large washer and dryer and a large pantry. Don't miss the popcorn bar with a great variety of gourmet popcorn and toppings provided!
Upper level includes 2 private bedrooms with TVs and large closets. Cove View Suite has 2 queens. Sunset Suite has 1 queen and 1 twin and private balcony. Both have ensuite access to Jack-n-Jill Bath.
Lower level is our game room. There is a game table and loveseat for comfort as well as a full bath. Sliding doors lead you to the expansive covered deck just steps to the lake. A gas grill is located here and there is garage access both from the deck and indoor game room. Enjoy the games or just relax in this space taking in the beautiful lake views and sunsets!
There are three kayaks and a paddle board for your use! Use is at your own risk, always wear life jackets, and use caution when on board watercrafts!
Water level is monitored by Dominion Energy. Water at our dock is typically shallow (3-6ft) but deep enough to park a boat. There is a boat ramp on property however depending on water level it may not be usable for larger boats. Dreher Island is a short drive away with boat ramp and sufficient parking. Our cove is a gentle slope with sandy bottom and great for walk out swimming, no rocks or trees on bottom.

Awesome Family Getaway!

We visited the house for my sons 15th birthday and it was amazing! The house was very clean, spacious and well laid out. There was tons of sitting areas. The porches were beautiful, had great views and very comfy too. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a family, friend or group trip!

Great weekend!

The six of us throughly enjoyed our stay. The seating areas in the house were perfect for us. We could gather in the dining room, the great room, the glassed in porch, the screen porch, or the kitchen. It was great to be always looking out on the water.

Summer fun at the lake.

The home is beautiful with spectacular views of Lake Murray. The kitchen is well-equipped and appliances are high end. Inflatable water rafts and noodles made swimming fun. Fun vacation!

Masters week

Lake house is hidden and quite. Very nice to sit by a fire and a great Lake view. Plenty to keep us entertained for a few days. Pool table, ping pong, hoops, cornhole. Everyone enjoyed our stay.

Family trip

This was a great place to gather with family. We had lots of room to spread out. The dock was a little disappointing and much shorter than portrayed. We ran out of dishwasher soap and toilet paper after the 2nd day, but the hosts were quick to try to remedy that despite not living in the area. Sunset Cove was very peaceful with beautiful sunsets.

Great Time!

We had a fantastic weekend at Sunset Cove. The view of the lake from the screened in porch, sun room, multiple balconies, and the dock was unbelievable and so peaceful! Only some minor improvements could be made, such as cleaning off the screened in porch and outdoor decks and improving the Wi-Fi/TV as we couldn’t really watch much of it due to signal (not always a bad thing to unplug!).

Family Fun

We couldn’t have picked a more perfect place to spend time together with our family. The home has everything and more as you have it listed! I was so thankful you had a chair lift in your home. I definitely relied on it several times due to having a recent hip replacement. The fishing on your lake was awesome and we rented a boat which made it even more fun. Your home has so many fun things to do and we will be coming back. Thanks!

Sept 2022 family trip

Great house! Kitchen and house very well stocked. Owner reached out to advise water level low, we went to River Winds landing and put boats in for $5.00,easy boat ride back to house/dock. Our group had 4 generations plenty of room for all. Nice quiet area. House and owners very welcoming.

Great place for family fun and relaxing time

Beautiful natural scenery, peaceful views of the lake at sunset. Plenty of space inside the house, high ceilings and open concept. Lots of board games, pool table, ping pong and basketball game so even if it rains plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked + nice additional toiletries. Property manager responded promptly whenever I had a question. Was super easy overall check-in/check-out process. Would def book here again.

Absolutely Perfect!

This house was perfect for my young adult children and their Plus 1s as well as my parents (Grandma and Grandpa). Had a fabulous time celebrating my son's graduation from USC and had lots of fun and bonding time with all the games provided! Unfortunately we did not get to use the lake ( a little cold that weekend and still debris, which was disclosed!)but enjoyed the dock and got some great pictures, Beautiful home and area. A nice escape from the crowds near campus too! Owners thought of everything. Happy to have finally seen Lake Murray and would definitely go back!

Everything was just what I expected. We did have a small issue with a bathroom pocket door downstairs. It came off its track the first time we tried to close it. Not a big deal for us. Just hope that no one thinks we caused it because I’m sure it had issues before us. Thank you

Lake Weekend

My family and I enjoyed our stay at your home. There were a lot of small touches that made us feel welcome like the travel items in the bathrooms, robes, complimentary bottle of wine, etc. We had immediate access to the lake which the kids took advantage of by swimming right in the cove. Unfortunately, we were not able to use the boat ramp for our boat due to the water level which would have potentially changed our decision to stay had that been mentioned in the listing which I know has since been updated. The stairs that lead down to the garage are extremely steep and narrow which was a little unsettling with little kids around. Rick and Donna was very responsive and helpful.

Wonderful Time at Sunset Cove

This was our first time renting through Vrbo. Our time at Sunset Cove was wonderful! The house met all our needs for two families to stay. The spacious floor plan gave everyone space to relax on the porches, enjoying college football, and napping. Our only disappointment was the dock. We love boat riding and we were unable to put our boat in at the boat ramp on the property. The lake water level is too low at this location so we had to take a 15-25 minute ride away from the home to put our boat in. Upon arriving and reading the Welcome Book on the front table in the foyer, we found out that even the water level at normal capacity is around 6 feet “at the end of the dock furtherest out in the water”. This would be helpful to be added to the Vrbo listing online for future guest; especially those that would want to rent the home, like we did, for ease of access to a boat ramp. Overall, the home is lovely and helped us to make some wonderful memories with friends! A special “Thank You” to Mrs. Donna for her speedy responses to my questions!

Here is what you should know-
Dock is in a small cove that spreads out into big water. Lake level is regulated and at full capacity the depth at the end of the dock is 6 ft deep. Typically in the summer the water level is at full capacity however at times it may be lower. Diving off the dock probably is not desirable HOWEVER our cove is very private and safe and guests usually will head out from the dock on rafts to deeper water to enjoy a swim!

What makes this property unique

Comfortable room for up to 12 people with 2800 sq feet of living space on 3 levels. It is suitable for elderly or anyone who has trouble with stairs as there is a stair lift at the ground floor entry up to the living area. The master bedroom is on the main floor.
Kitchen- The large kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, utensils, coffee maker, toaster oven, electric smooth cook top, dishwasher, and microwave that also works as a convection oven. There is a large table that seats 6-8 as well as 4 bar stools.
Laundry- There is a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience
Living Room- Living area is off the kitchen on the main level and open to the sunroom, sectional couch TV, expansive lake views.
Sunroom- Large room overlooking the lake with windows that open, comfortable pull-out couch that coverts to queen to sleep 2, TV, puzzle or game table..
Bedrooms
1. Master on the main level with a king bed, TV, whirlpool tub, large shower, large walk in closet, and private deck overlooking the lake.
2. Queen on upper level with TV, private deck, jack and jill bath shared with bedroom
3. Two queens on upper level with TV, jack and jill bath shared with bedroom 2
4. Queen sleeper on private sunporch
Lower Level
Entry door from driveway, garage access, and 3 doors to large lower deck. This level is a game room in progress. Currently we have corn hole and large outdoor connect four- more to come!
