The spacious lower level apartment is ground entry. This is a no stairs space. The open floor plan has 1,200 sq feet.
Two queen beds. Each bedroom is separate. You are close to Asheville. (15 min) Black Mountain (5 minutes), but private enough for a mountain retreat. You are 10 minutes from Montreat and great hiking trails. The guest suite is nestled in the trees with natural light. The kitchenette has a coffee pot, full size fridge, toaster oven, two eye burner hot plate, microwave, and a toaster. (No oven)Enjoy your morning coffee on the covered patio while listening to the rolling creek. There is no oven. Guest enjoy the convenience to town and the serenity of the private backyard. Pet friendly. Pickleball courts less than 1/2 mile from the suite.

Sheila is a wonderful host. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, well stocked with linens and kitchenette supplies. She left us a loaf of delicious sourdough bread as a welcome gift. The town of Black Mountain has great food (try the cuban place) and nice shops.

Property was exactly as described in VRBO. Extremely relaxing and safe neighborhood with much privacy. No stairs to navigate other than small steps into the unit. Communication with owner was prompt leading up to our arrival and no issues during the stay that required communication. Area inside was very spacious and would accommodate 4 to 5 people easily. Will definitely keep this one in mind for our next annual stay in Black Mountain. As a side note, we took a drive about an hour and half north of Black Mountain to the town of Blowing Rock and loved that town. Be sure to eat at the Speckled Trout in Blowing Rock. As far as dining in Black Mountain, Trailhead is a favorite and Saki Sushi in Cheshire is perfect to avoid the evening crowds in town.

Excellent stay!

Sheila has created a wonderful, warm and welcoming oasis in a serene setting within an upscale neighborhood. Her place was spotless, with a cozy heater-fireplace, and she even added homemade sourdough bread as a treat. There is an outside patio just for guests which faces the woods, so it is very private.

Great place!

We loved staying here. It is so close to downtown black mountain and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. The back room is very dark which is perfect for little kids/babies. Our host was very flexible with our check-in/ checkout process which was invaluable to us! The suite is located under the main house so you can hear footsteps and noise above. I would bring a white noise machine for you and your kids. Our daughter slept with a white noise machine and slept fine. Host is very responsive and helpful.
