Got a text from the renter on our way to the property saying my verification info wasn’t acceptable even though I sent it in Febywhen they asked for it. The form said you’re all set. had to find a spot to pull over and resend all this. We booked this place in January and was just hearing about it in July. Resent the info and asked for verification if we were good to go, they responded with we hadn’t paid the second half of the fee even though they had charged my card in January and again in May. Called the renter several times and left messages with no one ever calling me back. Called VRBO. VRBO couldn’t get a hold of these people either. While on the phone with VRBO, I got a text from a different number saying everything was good to know, but no response as to what went on with the payment. VRBO was extremely helpful though. Got to the place, sand was all over the floor, it’s the beach so didn’t fuss about it, couch had stains on it, master bed had ripped burlap sack sheets on it, shower panel was grungy, master bed was very noisy and uncomfortable. Resort was pretty nice, one pool was shut down, not the renters fault,parking garage is awful. Also not the renters fault, VRBO is great, Big Fish Rentals not so much. I probably will not stay in the resort ever again, and doubt I will book a property ran by Big Fish Rentals again.

Overall our stay was very nice with they exception of not receiving our email with room number and code upon our arrival, we arrived after 4 and had to keep calling/ emailing til we got our information. Only other issue really was a water issue where water was out for the whole building for approximately 1:45 right as we came from beach at lunchtime with a 2 year , Also elevators were out and most of the time 2 were working but sometimes only 1 and we were on 17th floor, the location and room and ocean view was very nice,

Great location, close enough to do the “touristy stuff” in Myrtle Beach but far enough north to be a bit more calm and relaxed. Kitchen had everything we needed, bedding, towels were soft/fresh, AC and ceiling fans worked great. Balcony was our favorite place to relax at night. Washer/Dryer was new and a huge perk! Large TVs in every room was great. The poolside bar was fantastic and the staff were really friendly. There’s an ice cream counter in the gift shop and we often saw families getting treats so it must be good. Parking was a breeze and close. The umbrella/chair rental on the beach is directly in front of the resort so it was very convenient and if you buy consecutive days in advance, it’s very reasonable. There were so many pools and hot tubs in addition to lazy rivers so there was always something to do. The staff do monitor the pool decks to ensure only guests are using the pools, which was greatly appreciated. Lots of families with fun poolside entertainment and/or live music each day. Overall a really good experience.

Nice location on the ocean

The location and view were great. The listing is not accurate. The second bedroom has two FULL beds, not two queens, which was an issue for us because we were expecting older kids to be able to share them comfortably. When we went to use the fold out couch as a back up, there were crumbs and trash in there and we just weren't comfortable making our kids sleep on it. The floor was covered in sand and there was broken glass on the floor and under the couch. I let the property manager know about the sand and they told me I should be able to find a broom or vacuum there. I did, but the vacuum had no suction and I swept and swept with the broom, but it was a losing battle. They said they'd get back to me and never did. I live at the beach, so I get that there will be sand, but this was excessive. The king bed was comfortable. If the listing were accurate and the cleaning was better, it would have been great.

A Place to Rest

We arrived about 1 hour after check in time but unfortunately our condo was not cleaned. They were responsive and had someone come over relatively quickly, but that required us to leave (even though she said we didn’t need too.) Overall, the condo needs to be deep cleaned. Mold in the main shower, dirty baseboards, dirty doors, etc. I had to give it a good wipe down to feel comfortable in it. And probably left it cleaner than it was. I also washed all the bedspreads as I wasn’t convinced these were cleaned either. Also, the washing machine was moldy as well - so gave that a good clean too. I’d recommend bringing your own pillows (we did!) Internet connection was not reliable and the instructions were not clear as to where to specifically connect. We used our private hotspots. It was a good location and quiet with a beautiful view. The pools were great for the kids, had a band/DJ which was nice, and a nice outdoor bar with delicious drinks. Ample space for a younger family. Had the essentials. A place to rest for a busy family who spent most of their time on the beach or doing activities outside.

Horrible

So this was the second time we havstayed at the Baywatch and we LOVE the Baywatch! Perfect for families. However the listing is extremely inaccurate. When we reached out to the host they were extremely abrasive and it was not their problem and we are just wrong. First off the second bedroom has two full beds not queens. When we reached out to the host she was like….nope your wrong. However queens are 80 inches or 6’8” long…my 6’1” husband feet were hanging off the bottom. I have pictures. So I couldn’t sleep in bed with him and had to share a bed with my daughter and move her sister to the couch which was uncomfortable for all involved. Sharing a full with a teenager for a week was horrible. Then the TV didn’t work in the second bedroom. The wifi wouldn’t work. Reached out and sent screenshot of available networks. She said ask front desk….front desk said you didn’t book with us not out problem. So despite reaching out it wasn’t the host problem and we never got resolution oissues.

Baywatch condos is a beautiful place on 17th floor but upon arrival after driving 10 hours to get there, the host assured us we would be given our door code at 4 pm check-in time we arrived after 5 pm I checked my email no door code was given, we go up to the desk they tell us since we rented thru VRBO a private owner owned the unit, that they had no control over a door code, I called Big Fish Rentals, is where the host is from I did not get a answer after 2 calls and 2 different emails to host we where there at the property for over a hour before they gave us a door code to get into our rental, the glass stove top had fresh grease all over it , in the Master king size bed room the TV did not work with remote control and in other bedroom with the 2 full beds the ceiling fan ran constantly no way of turning it off, or turning on the ceiling fan light over head the remote control to the fan/light did not have a battery in it, I messaged the host different times about the batteries they never came to give us any batteries, yet they told VRBO they addressed all our issues , they lied, so did not get to watch TV in the master bedroom, the master walk in shower is very complicated to work and figure out ,a rental shower should be simple, not complicated ,host never addressed our issues, if all these issues where fixed it is a beautiful place, I called VRBO about a refund for the cleaning fee they called the host, the host refused according to VRBO so will never rent it again .
