Fabulous beachside cottage just under 2 blocks from the ocean, Newbern Cottage is a beautifully updated 4-bedroom, 3-bath home designed for relaxed coastal living. Recently renovated in 2024, the home features new hard surface flooring throughout and a brand-new kitchen, creating a fresh and modern feel while maintaining its warm coastal charm. The layout includes split primary suites, a large living area, and a separate dining space, offering plenty of room for everyone to gather comfortably.

The house is in a great location, with an easy walk to the beach. There was plenty of space and we enjoyed being at the end of a quiet street. Communication with the rental company was easy and they helped resolve an issue with the internet being out, before we even knew about it. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely lovely place. Great location, very roomy. Great for our group. Loved all the large spaces that allowed our family to hang out together. Well supplied and just a fantastic stay! Great communication with property management

We mainly hung at the beach everyday. Did not use the pool, we had a 2 1/2 yr old and preferred the beach. The house was great.

Great location! You can see the water from the house, and it’s an easy walk to the beach. The house was well equipped with everything we needed to fix meals for our group. The rooms were a good size. We had plenty of space to gather together inside and out. Parking was great, too. I would stay again if we plan a return trip.

The house has black mold in the hall bathroom. The back bathroom has no water pressure and cannot use the shower. The cookware was unusable. The dishwasher was disgusting. The toilets wobble. The tub in hallway does not drain good. The couch looked new but smelled of mildew. The washing machine had a poop smell. The dishwasher was very nasty. I just hand washed the dishes. To us the property management is not following up with the cleanliness of the property. Floors looked like they had never been mopped. Baseboards were dirty and dusty.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Perfect Location

The house was perfect for our golf tournament and team! Plenty of space and super convenient to the golf courses. Beach was right across the street and all of the shops and restaurants were less than a mile away! Nice back yard with a fire pit and grill. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to use it. We will definitely book it again for our tournament next year if available

Perfect house, will book again

Great house, just as advertised. Nice sized rooms, furnishings, and comfy beds. Kitchen equipped with what you need. We planned a short get away and wished we could have stayed longer. My party of 5 was thoroughly pleased with the house and location, it can definitely accomodate more comfortably... we'll be back!

Great set-up

Awesome layout. 2 masters, split floorplan, perfect for multigenerational families. Everything looks newly renovated...comfy new matresses. Pet-friendly flooring. 2 minute walk to beach.

Very happy with our stay at Newbern Cottage, though cottage is not the right word for the size of this house. It's quite large and it fit our family of 7 easily, with room to spare. We attended a wedding at the Jekyll Resort Club and chose a separate rental due to the number of people we had to accommodate. We had 2 small children with us, so the house worked out perfectly since there's plenty of room to move and lots of outdoor space. It's also a quick walk to the beach, which you can see a little of from the front windows. Lots of room to park and it's at the end of a short road, so quiet but easy to access. And only a bit more than 1 mile to the resort. Hopefully we can return and see more of Jekyll on our next visit.
