Climb the 54 stairs to the top of the trees, when you arrive you will be rewarded with a 180 degree view of Katchemak Bay, the Homer Spit and Cook Inlet. You will fall in love with the sunsets and privacy of this beautifully remodeled and furnished cabin. Fully equipped kitchen, wifi, TV, plus an in-unit washer & dryer allow you to relax at the cabin with everything you need!

Enjoy new stainless steel appliances, coffee maker (bring your own coffee grounds), a queen bed in the bedroom, plus a queen pull out sofa in the common area. It is conveniently located just 10 min from all Homer as to offer!

Cozy Cabin

Very comfortable cabin. The location offers fantastic views of Homer and is close to everything. The place worked great for what we needed (a place to stay to enjoy the fishing in Homer). Would stay here again.

We spent 2 nights here for our anniversary and had an excellent stay. The cabin was just as described and has AMAZING views! We lucked out with great weather. It was a super quick and easy drive to everywhere in Homer. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Beautiful Cabin on the hill

We had an amazing time staying at the Melody Rose cabin. We did not see any wildlife while we were there, but still enjoyed the views and the piece and quiet.

Cozy Cabin, Beautiful Kachemak Bay Views

We really loved our stay in this cozy cabin. It had some of the most beautiful views of the Homer Spit, Kachemak Bay, and even the glaciers. It had everything we needed for a lovely long weekend in Homer. The cabin was just minutes from downtown, but far enough up the mountain for a quiet and laid back atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.

This was perfect for my husband and I we came to homer to visit our 2 sons who live here. It was perfectly located near both of there houses. Its located close to downtown and the spit. Our stay was very pleasant. It was perfect for what we needed. Very cozy cabin with a beautiful veiw! spit

Cute cabin with full kitchen. Unbelievable sweeping views! Cabin is cozy and comfortable. Listing correct with stairs an issue for some. Good location in Homer - just a short drive to shops and restaurants. Owners very responsive.

Your hosts are Susan & Justin, married in 2021 in Seward. We are California natives and high school sweethearts that fell in love with Alaska. We are happy to call Homer home and we hope you enjoy your visit!

Why they chose this property

Melody Rose cabin is a special place. As world travelers, we have stayed in many short term rentals, and always felt that the best ones were the ones that were private and in their own world. The view from the cabin is the best we have seen in all of Homer! We filled the cabin with amenities (upgraded kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer) so that you can stay perched on the mountain side for as long as you want, watching the tides go in and out :). Since the cabin is only 10 minutes away from all of Homer, you're also ready to launch into adventure at a moment's notice! We truly feel its the best of both worlds.
