We will be back! Isn't that the best review possible? The house is spacious, quiet, and has an incredible view of the lake, even from inside the living room due to the picture windows.Ilmar is a gracious host who not only called twice before our visit to prepare us, but acted quickly when we had trouble with the dishwasher. The house is equipped with most everything you need to live comfortably, from excellent coffee makers to ample sets of utensils and dishes. We looked for but could not find a clothes iron or cutting board for cheese, but everything else--even board games--were there. We were especially delighted to find the host left a gift card to a local winery and had a lovely excursion there-would not have known about it otherwise. So thoughtful!Thank you for an amazing stay!! We can't wait to do it again!PS I took amazing astrophotos. A telescope would be a nice addition to the house--I brought my own!
Had a wonderful time exploring the Champlain Islands and Vermont. Host was very responsive and shared great local information. You can't beat the views of the lake up on the hill.
The place is beautiful and most of the rooms are quite large. There were enough bathrooms and bedrooms for us each to have our own and their kitchen was equipped with everything including an array of spices. The host was quick to respond and very accommodating.
Overall, we had an excellent stay. Sometimes internet was skecthy, but presented no real problems for us. Most places we visited were within an easy distance. The views were spectacular. We had a great family vacation!
Great location, beautiful views. The house was perfect for our family of 10 and we enjoyed our weekend celebration. The two bedroom section was a great quiet retreat when we needed a bit of quiet time.
We really enjoyed our short stay. Other guest comments are helpful so read those but I would add that the home was very clean and the host was flexible and thoughtful. We would stay again and recommend this location to everyone!
We had a very good family gathering. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms. Furniture made living rooms cramped. House very well appointed and decorated. Outside decking needs refurbishing. Nice view of the lake, but not a lake house.
If you like nautical decor and spectacular views of Lake Champlain, this is the place for you. It has everything you need, great location in South Hero, Vermont (an island on Lake Champlain) and is close to Burlington and Shelburne, Vermont where there is lots to do and see. House and property are very quiet and peaceful.Excellent communication with host.
Family reunion in conjunction with a wedding celebration in Burlington. Perfect set up for our blend of families to pass time and enjoy each other and the view.
This is a great place. Beautiful view, way more room than expected. We took advantage of the access to the echo museum. Great communication with owner
Would highly recommend
I stayed at the Lighthouse with family for my wedding weekend at Snow Farm Vineyard. It fit all of our needs and Ilmar is a great host. Would recommend staying here with a larger group.
We enjoyed our stay! The owner has included some very nice touches that had us out and about in the area, enjoying the beautiful island. We really appreciate him going the extra mile to be so welcoming and accommodating. It helped us to eat and shop local on the island.
I think the most amazing thing was the communication with the owner. He was generous in some of the extras he provided and responsive when we contacted him.Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Drove into Burlington a few times. Found the local restaurants and shops. Went to some of the beaches. And relaxed around the house. We got used to the layout of the house and everything worked out just fine.
Love Vermont and being on Lake Champlain was great. That being said, the views from the deck were phenomenal. A rainbow, hot air balloon & spectacular sun rises and sunsets!!
