Brian was very responsive. Perfect host! We had a fabulous time. Lake access was an easy walk, slightly down the hill. The lake was refreshing to take a swim, kayak, and float. Fishing was nice too. Our Vrbo neighbors stayed at Let’s Go Fishing rental, next to the Captain Bob’s Lake house; we shared the yard with them and they were nice. We relaxed and enjoyed the spaciousness. 3 Bedrooms were on 2nd floor and the King bed was on the 3rd floor. The living area adjacent to the opened bedroom (3rd flr) was a nice space for the grandchildren to gather, watch TV, and sleep. Pet friendly and our Shih Tzu loved the climb to the top floor and back down the stairs. This place had everything we needed for our multiple families plus more. We will be back. Highly recommend this place.

Lake Wedowee

The house and property were beautiful. Very easy walk to lake and dock. Cove was quiet and peaceful. House was very well furnished.

The place was great. We are a family of five, and had more than enough room. The large covered deck area on the lakeside was fantastic, and the additional paddle boards and kayaks were a nice bonus. The first floor is an open living/kitchen area, and there is a laundry room and full bath in the very back. The second floor has three full bedrooms, small living area and full bath. One of the rooms has a trundle bed, and the living room couch is a pull out bed. Lastly the top floor is the master bed and bath, and it has a large living area. While the third floor is private, there should be a set of double doors between the master bedroom and living area. That would offer more privacy for the bedroom, and allow two families to easily utilize the second and third floors. The lot is gently sloping, and the cove is great for swimming. If you are bringing a boat, there is literally a ramp right next to the yard. The fish cabin was vacant while we were there, but it is right next door, so if both units are occupied, you will be close. There is only one dock, so you will need to share it if the other unit is occupied.

well stocked !!!

We had a wonderful time here. Host had paddle boards and kayaks and beach towels for us to use. The kitchen is very well stocked. The only thing we needed in the kitchen was a large strainer for straining noodles.The beds all slept very well. Needed a sectional sofa in the main gathering room _not enough seating for everyone. a medium sectional would be perfect. over all it was perfect for our family.

A wonderful place that meets all your vacationing needs

The property is very clean and well maintained. It is the best stocked vacation home I have ever stayed in. The main floor open concept kitchen and family room that flows out onto a large deck with plenty of seating allowed for great conversation and spending time with a peaceful view of the dock and water. The kitchen with island has more than enough room for several cooks with anything you might need to prepare your favorite meals. The 3 full bathrooms (one on each floor) was a plus for us after a full day out in the sun having fun. I will definitely stay here again.

Great for big families

We loved almost everything about Captain Bobs lake house. The kayaks and paddle boards kept the kids busy. The sleeping arrangements were almost perfect. The only flaw we found was the grill
. It is almost falling apart which made cooking harder we had planned meals around grilling every night. I do think if the smaller property “Let’s go fishing” had been booked we would not have had as great of a time sharing. But since it was unoccupied we had plenty of privacy. We will definitely be back.

Great Weekend!!

This was a great weekend with Family and Friends. The house was clean, well stocked had lots of room and had a great yard. If you are looking for a fun place to stay this is it. Brian was a super host and was very helpful...
