Wonderful, secluded and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

It's our second time coming here, and we loved the new firepit. The same privacy, seclusion, and nature all around, river and canoe were great. We couldn't have had a better stay!

Fair but could have been better

  • 3 of 5

The cabin is very nice inside and the view is great, the down sides of the property are that first of all you really do need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to the cabin. The road going to it is very steep with a lot of ruts in it which makes it very difficult to access. I have a pickup truck without 4 wheel drive and had difficulty climbing up the driveway after a rain storm the night before. It took me 4 tries to get to the top of the hill and I ruined 1 tire doing it,the tire has to be replaced it took a piece of rubber out of the side wall. The cabin itself is nice and it sits on a nice grassy piece of property there is a horseshoe pit and a basketball court that sit on the property , and there is also a canoe available to use. There were 2 downsides to the cabin while we were there .The first thing was that after staying the first night we found out that there were mice. The other thing was that the satellite TV broke the last 2 nights and we had to watch videos. Also the well water system really needs to be worked on, it really smells and we were using bottled water.

Nice cabin in a secluded setting

  • 5 of 5

Had an excellent weekend getaway to this lovely, secluded cabin on the river. Living area was nice and open with an impressive kitchen area. Was fortunate to have nice weather in February so I was able to sit out on the deck and read. Would definitely book again.

Great stay

  • 4 of 5

Nice little cabin, and it's just steps from the river. Would stay there again, as long as the weather is right. The gravel road that connects to the nearest paved road isn't great if you're driving a car with no 4-wheel capability. Wouldn't want to try that if it was rainy or snowy. Otherwise, great.

Map

The cabin is only 15 minutes to major shopping and historic downtown Luray, including WalMart, CVS Pharmacy, Grocery Stores, and many fast and slow restaurants. The West Main Deli in Luray is the best fresh food in town! Luray Caverns is also in the same shopping area. Skyline Drive is only about a scenic 40 minute drive! Skyland has a great restaurant as well!
