Peace, Quiet and Beauty
Amazing home and property, this place has it all, the views, the water, the land, and air conditioning with a cozy bed. Perfect for a couple, family, girls trip or even a troop wanting to tent camp. We will definitely back. This was like being in the tree house I always dreamed about as a kid. :)
Lindy is also awesome, very responsive, warm and welcoming, Super Host!!!
Nice clean cabin has everything you need! Neer lots of things like Luray and winery and brewery! Great weekend
Comfy, relaxing and feels like home.
We came here to celebrate our 26 wedding anniversary. We loved everything about this cabin. We have stayed in many others in the area, this one was by far the best one. The inside is cozy, nice kitchen ,living room. We loved the property. Very private, no one around. It was on the river. Loved sitting on the deck looking at the river. It was a little piece of heaven. We will be back very soon. Next time to bring the kids.
Everything was as they said it would be.. we had a blast it's a beautiful house..
Only thing is the water could be cleaner smells nasty:(
But everything else was perfect
Beautiful Rustic Getaway
The property itself was amazing. You are right on the river. It is secluded, as promised. NO neighbors anywhere really close. The driveway was easily passable in 2wd in my truck- but a car might have issues if its raining. The accommodations were as shown in the pictures. I can say, however, the seating accommodations in the living room are very uncomfortable. While not easy to admit- it kept me off the couch and outdoors. My husband and I had a great time, fishing, canoeing, and walking the very LONG path off to the side of the cabin that follows the river. I am completely de-stressed, which was my entire goal. The fishing is great- alot of small mouth bass, and we caught many from shore ( and even more from the canoe).
I will suggest you bring shoes you care nothing about though. This is a river, the banks are very muddy, and there is only a few stable places to stand where you wont sink to your ankles in mud. This is the OUTDOORS- if you are looking for a 5 star resort- this isnt it. If you are looking to get back to mother nature- go nowhere else. River Cranes, hawks, and even a Bald Eagle flew over us. I am in love with this place. If you have kids- they will be too. Bring them to UNPLUG...they wont get bored. There are swings for the kids, a fire pit for smores( which we utilized and its very safe) and all the outdoors to teach your kids. I'll be bringing mine when I come back- because 5 days wasnt enough time to explore everything. Lindy was amazingly quick with responses to questions...which was great!
The cabin is only 15 minutes to major shopping and historic downtown Luray, including WalMart, CVS Pharmacy, Grocery Stores, and many fast and slow restaurants. The West Main Deli in Luray is the best fresh food in town! Luray Caverns is also in the same shopping area. Skyline Drive is only about a scenic 40 minute drive! Skyland has a great restaurant as well!
