Absolutely gorgeous home. Plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, etc. Kitchen had everything you could need. Was perfect for family members to be together while attending our brother’s funeral. Will definitely be back - under happier circumstances!!

This charming little home was absolutely perfect for our extended weekend diving trip. Super clean and has everything that you need. We loved the outdoor patio area. Super convenient to everywhere we needed to go! Would highly recommend, and when we come back to the area again to dive we will be staying here again!

Lovely home, well appointed and equipped. We lacked for nothing! Well maintained with plenty of space for our family of 4. We have 2 teenage boys so they each had their own room to relax and spread out. Super easy check and check out process. Very gracious and responsive hosts. We’ll be back!

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The house was beautifully decorated and the beds were comfy. The backyard was quite large with lots of room to play catch or throw a football. You are in a country setting so the neighbors on either side do have fenced in large dogs but they were quiet.

Our stay was wonderful. The home was decorated for Christmas and with the diffuser going it smelled so nice. Shortbread type homemade cookies waiting for us was a great treat. Beds were comfortable. Primary bathroom was a great size. I would very much recommend this home for those staying in the area.

quite nice outside the city; quiet and scenic. convenient household amenities--including household plants-- just as if you lived there. sunrise wakes you up through the trees. birds keep you entertained when sitting on the back patio. make a fire, if you want. quaint downtown beckons a slower pace. good food found locally. or, cook in the ample kitchen.

The Perfect Arrangement

We were visiting the area to visit family. The location was large enough for my family and large enough to host visitors during our stay. The home is easy to tidy and all cleaning supplies were on site. The location was quiet and even had a few neighborhood cats and dogs swing by. We were able to cook meals and make s’mores at this location. Our kids were able to play in the yard and not have to worry about spurs. There were a few ant piles out back, but easy to navigate. It was nice to have a full house with all amenities for a little more money than a hotel room. Bruce and Mande were very helpful and responsive to all our questions. We would stay here again.

Defuniak is full of Old Florida Charm, while Winter in Florida usually consists of 70 * weather and swaying palm trees.
MSN's insider Online named this city the "best small town in Florida". The heyday of the town was the Victorian Era when many of its historic buildings were constructed. Defuniak Springs old railroad depot is now home to the Walton County Heritage Museum. The Walton County Library, is the oldest in the state, is housed in a building erected there in the 1880's . Defuniak Springs is home to Lake Defuniak, one of two spring-fed lakes in the world that is nearly perfectly round. The surrounding landscape of Lake Defuniak is decorated for the holidays between Thanksgiving and New Years Day to celebrate the holiday season. This is known to locals as the "Christmas Reflections". While you're in town don't miss the Cafe Nola & Hotel Defuniak (housed in a 1920's building), Perla Baking Company, Ember's (farm to table) one of our newest restaurants, Bogey's Bar & Restaurant, Farmer's Markets on the closed off streets of downtown, food truck Friday, just to name a few. Thanks to this sweet little town we have a perfect place to get away while taking short day trips to the beaches on the Gulf Coast. It usually takes 35-45 minutes depending on the traffic. I hope you love it here as much as I do!
