Reviewer Comments: Absolutely incredible home set high on Bordeaux Mountain, giving majestic and unobstructed views of Coral Bay out the back of the home, and sweeping views of the lush mountain to the side of the home — which are equally as breathtaking. This home is clearly genuinely loved by its homeowners as it is impeccably maintained, clean, and updated. The beds are big and comfortable. The bedrooms have A/C which is a non-negotiable for us. The gentle mountain breezes keep the bugs away all day — which is a rarity on St. John. And the little chirping frogs remind you that you are indeed someplace magical. It’s so special. Kitchen is stocked, the grill is great. It’s about a ten minute drive to get to the beginning of the North Shore beaches, 20 minutes to Cruz Bay and less than ten minutes into Coral Bay. The drive up to the home is gradual and the driveway is not steep. The location of Esprit is perfect to access and enjoy all aspects of St. John. This was our sixth year in St. John and Esprit has been our favorite home to date. Thank you to Catered To as well; they were a class act in hospitality from start to finish, as always. We will be back.

Morning coffee watching the sun rise with a breathtaking view is the perfect way to start each day. Home is equipped with everything you need. We were 4 adults and 3 kids. It was the perfect size. We loved the pool and appreciated the beach towels and chairs. Having a host greet us qt our car rental was a gift and made the day so smooth to follow her over! Thank you, we can't wait to come back!!

This was our 1st trip to St. John & we were worried about the location, but it was absolutely perfect! Took less than 15-20 mins to get to most Bays & Cays! The home itself was a gem! From the indoor/outdoor bathrooms to views from every level, you're not going to want to leave!! Did I mention the sunrises and the amazing breezes?? Would definitely lease again!!

This home is absolutely beautiful. The views are unmatched. The house is set up well and perfect for a family with children. The birdsong and the sunrises in the morning and the sound of the frogs at night made the trip so relaxing and special. I would stay here again if you want a place to hang out and enjoy the views. It is not close to anything, and the mountain roads (and driving the wrong way) are nerve wracking. (I could have happily stayed and never left, so it depends on what you are vacationing for. )NOTE THAT WHEN YOU BOOK ON VRBO YOU PAY THEM A HIGH FEE and then you will be asked to actually complete the payment for the stay via the management company, Catered To. You can also book direct if you prefer and avoid VRBO as a middle man. I will never forget this place -- the house, the breezes, the views, the birds and the frogs, the peace. If you want a home with all the modern comforts far off the beaten path, this might be perfect.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view from Villa Esprit is astounding. We just couldn't get enough! We loved being on Bordeaux Mountain. While the drive is extremely steep and winding, my husband enjoyed doing the driving once he got comfortable. The Catered To staff were very helpful, meeting us ahead of time in Cruz Bay, then driving to the villa and walking us through. The villa itself, which sold recently, needs some love, especially the exterior of the house and the living room furniture. The third, garden level bedroom with it's own entrance and bath, had dead ants everywhere and smelled too bad to use. We didn't need it, but some guests may find this problematic. There was a construction project going on right next door which started promptly at 7:00am. This was fine for us, but again, could be troublesome for other renters. Catered To did not mention this ahead, which would have been nice. In general, we adored our stay and would go back in the future.

My family of 4 enjoyed our stay at Espirit and St. John. The home is in a beautiful location that is more peaceful than staying in Cruz Bay. On the flip side, it is a 25 minute drive to town on winding, hilly roads so keep that in mind. The house itself was clean and we loved the outdoor and garden showers. With some updating and new furnishings it would be a 5+! The view more than accommodates for that though!

Reviewer Comments: our family of 4 stayed at Esprit and had a wonderful week. its a steep climb to get to but was worth it.Really enjoyed staying close to Coral bay.Our daily routine was to go to the pool in the morning and hit the beaches after lunch til abot 5 or 6pm, than came home to cook dinner and relax outside.Extra bonus was a lovely orange cat that came to visit us everyday.

Lovely view

Such a beautiful view. If we weren’t at the beach, we were longing on the balcony or in an Adirondack by the pool. The breeze keeps the bugs at bay, which was a pleasant surprise. Only watch-out - there is a crew working on a house next door and they start banging by 7am. We were always up by then, but others may mind more than us.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to St John for about 15 years and this was the first time we have been rained out for multiple days. There is a pretty big temperature difference between the villa location and when you get to the beach or Cruz Bay. Make sure to have a long sleeve shirt for sitting out on the deck in the evenings. It has been mentioned in previous reviews about the furniture being "tired", I agree with that. Nothing awful but, an upgrade in furnishings would be welcome. Overall though, it is a nice place.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been to St. John many times and love the low-key vibe of Coral Bay. Esprit was a great location for visiting all the beauty that is St. John. The villa was clean and had almost everything we needed. The gardens around it are beautiful and the view is breathtaking, especially in the early morning. The villa sits at nearly the top of Bordeaux Mountain so it is quite windy in the late afternoons and evenings. The villa itself could use some updating. The couches and chair cushions were stained, the pool light didn't work, cupboards are old and worn. The top deck outdoor furniture is quite old and uncomfortable. But these are mostly cosmetic things. The table by the pool was falling apart and Catered To had a replacement there within a day. Their service was outstanding.
