A mountain getaway

  • 4 of 5

We have a wonderful time staying at the Timbers at Glacier Ridge. There was plenty of room for the two couples + two babies + our nanny to stay and all of the room needed for the little ones to play.

Everything we needed was provided and when we had an issue with the heat, the property manager was onsite almost immediately.

The only caution I would say was how serious to take the 4 wheel drive requirement. The driveway is steeeeep so if it is snowing really at all upon arrive, it can a bit of an endeavor.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at our little mountain getaway. The perfect place to get some work done and experience nature's beauty.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the kind words. This area is beautiful, but also a rustic mountain area. Yes, when we say you need 4 WD it is needed. The homes are modern, but mother nature dictates where we build. Please come again we love sharing our mountain home.

Spacious, cozy cabin in the mountains!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin had a very warm and cozy feel! There was more than enough space for my group of 5 adults. The hot tub was perfect for the cold weather to warm up in and enjoy the snowy views. There were plenty of towels, hangers for clothes, pots/pans and even some spices for cooking. The balcony overlooking the mountains provided a gorgeous view. The compliment everyone in the group could give was how perfect the view is!

Check in and check out was easy.

I would recommend for future guests to make sure their rental is 4WD or AWD (which is stated in the brochure) if snow is expected as the driveway is a bit steep. It helped parking at the top of the drive the next day. It was super helpful for the snow plow of the drive that was provided also as we got a full day of steady snowfall.

Would stay again!!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much. I am glad you had a good time and enjoyed the view! It is a breath-taking view. Every time I go up to the house, I enjoy looking out at that view. I hope you can come back soon. It is a gorgeous place to stay in the Summer and Fall too. There are so many summer activities in the area. It is a great place to explore old mines and hike through some of the old ghost towns. Thank you again for staying with us.

Wonderful Cabin, Fumbling Management

  • 4 of 5

A GREAT cabin in a beautiful location. Be mindful, oxygen at 10,600', a bit tough to ajust to. Mgmnt/keepers did fall down in a few areas, though. Water heater was in a locked room, set on "vacation" and we got no response from "emergency" phone number until following day. So, first night..ICE cold shower. VRBO lists "garage" in amenities. WRONG! Its there, but you can't use it. It is full of the owners stuff, including a vehicle. When we arrived we found the key in the door, a vehicle in the garage and multiple locked doors that our key didnt access. So, needless to say, we were a bit uneasy, at first. And, on our last night we bought some nice ribeyes to cook on the grill, oops! EMPTY TANK!

Be prepared to tackel a long, very rough dirt road. We were wishing it had been covered in snow. But hey, this IS the Rockies.

And finally, it took over 2 weeks, an email (which was apparently ignored) and then a phone call to finally get our damage deposit credited back. Overall, a great place! You've just got to pay attention to the details.

Great weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

Great house, was only a couple hours away so it was easy to get to. The house was amazing! When it says everything is at the house they mean it, we brought food and drinks and that was it. My family and I will definitely rent this again, probably for a week, it was so relaxing we didn't want to leave. I would highly recommend.

Amazing Property! We lived like Kings and Queens for a week.

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved the place! Close to town with Amazing views. The deck with the hot tub was awesome overlooking the valley. The amenities were awesome, hand carved log beds, 2 fireplaces, movie room with super comfy couch, pool table, fire pit with unreal views.... Where do I stop. Can't wait to get back. I have stayed at several places in the area and none compared to this.
