Chessetts Lodge is a stunning custom-built house, with touches of luxury everywhere. Chessetts Lodge combines the rustic with the luxurious resulting in a truly remarkable home for your private mountain vacation.
You will be amazed from the second you drive up to this gorgeous villa. It is approached via a private road and is situated on its own grounds of some 14 acres, atop Pennsylvania Peak, just South of Alma and only 20 miles from Breckenridge. Surrounded by pine and aspen forests, there are spectacular views of the surrounding white-capped 14,000 ft. peaks, valleys, rivers, and lakes.
Stepping into the home you can see the care taken to create an atmosphere of relaxation and luxury. On the first level you walk into the game room with its custom full-size bar with ice maker, wine cooler, sink, and granite counter. Gather around on the bar stools and converse with the mixer of drinks or enjoy conversations going on in the room. You can play pool on the full-size pool table or sit around the large custom L-shaped couch with a big round coffee table to play games or place your drinks and snacks on. There is a flat screen television mounted over the gas fireplace for sports or movie night. This level has a custom indoor sauna to enjoy, along with a walk-in shower and thick custom cotton towels to finish the experience. There is a bedroom with two twin beds that have new Marriott Hotel pillows to rest your head on.
Following the custom wood stairs up to the main level you enter the heart of the home. There is a luxurious kitchen with granite countertops and custom cabinetry. All the appliances are of the highest quality and are stainless steel. You will have all of the amenities and cookware that you will need to prepare your meals. The kitchen has an island with bar stool seating so that you and your friends can cook and chat at the same time!
The great room has vaulted two story ceilings with floor to ceiling windows on all sides. It is fabulous and has stunning views of the mountains, the valley, and the surrounding forest. A large dining area that can seat ten people is here, with a fantastic view! There is a gas stove to keep the room extra cozy. The seating is leather and extremely comfortable with yet another coffee table for games and puzzles. There is also a small library with books and games for everyone. This open concept means everyone can enjoy some time together, while still having other spaces to have different activities going on in the home.
On the main level are two of the four bedrooms, one featuring a queen size bed with luxurious linens and king size Marriott pillows that cradle your tired body. The other room has a king bed with luxurious linens and pillows to relax and have a great night sleep. There are televisions in each of the rooms, with satellite programming. The bathroom has thick cotton towels for you to use with your shower or bath. There is a bathtub/shower combination on this level.
The third floor area has the master bedroom where the oversized king bed with luxurious bedding and Marriott pillows welcome you to a haven of your own. Here you have your own seating area with a small deck to enjoy the view. The attached private master bath has a custom tiled walk in shower, as well as a VibrAcoustic tub. The thick custom cotton towels give you an upscale luxury feel in the middle of the mountains. There is also a flat screen television with satellite programming to enjoy.
Adjoining the master suite there is also a large loft area with a minstrel's gallery looking onto the great room. This area has a queen size sleeper sofa providing additional accommodation if required. The reading area is also located in the loft so that you can see the stunning views from the big comfy fainting couch that is provided. The outdoors is one of the most spectacular qualities of this home. You can hike to the top of Pennsylvania Peak right from the front door of the Lodge. There is a hot tub at Chessetts to relax in after a day of hiking or skiing. It is positioned to make the best of the amazing views! If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. It is a great place to call your "Base Camp".
This is a beautiful home to spend any season of the year. The access is year-round, because the driveways and roads are plowed, but AWD/4WD vehicles are essential, especially in winter. There can be deep drifts after a storm and it can become quite slippery if the snow melts and refreezes. Please have the proper equipment during the winter months.

I am so glad you got to come experience the mountains when it was covered in white! Chessets is the perfect cabin for a large family with plenty of common space for everybody to get together. I am sure sledding was perfect in that area and I love hearing you got to enjoy the surround land even with the extreme weather. I hope you get to come back and enjoy the mountains again soon. Please feel free to give us a call when you decide to plan your next getaway to the Rockies!

Chessetts Lodge
Our family thoroughly enjoyed the stay for Thanksgiving at Chessetts Lodge. Besides being a beautiful home in such a peaceful and serene area, we managed to survive the storm, closed roads and all that comes with that.
Property was amazing and everything was just as pictured. Host was easy to work with and very responsive.

Beautiful Home and Property
Our family truly enjoyed our stay. Great amenities, very spacious and the mountains views were breath-taking. Our only suggestions are to provide more soap in the bathrooms, more garbage bags in the kitchen and an extra blanket.
This was a lovely place to stay. Bed was comfy and hot tub was a huge plus. Very secluded and quiet. We even saw a moose while out walking. Would be happy to return.
Our family had an excellent time relaxing and unwinding in and around this home. The views were incredible. The home fit our family of four adults & two children wonderfully. The kitchen was well-equipped and appliances were high end. Beds and pillows were very omfortable. Lots of wildlife to see! Check-in, check-out and communication with property managers worked well! Gorgeous home & outdoor space! Overall excellent experience! Thank you!

Great place with altitude
This is a wonderful summer vacation house but renters must be aware of the altitude. The main living space sits at 11,120 ft. above sea level.
Geat "home base" to doball your adventures from. We were able to hit up Breckenridge ' Bueno Vista, Leadville and numerous other areas for our week long adventures of rafting, zip lining, train rides and ATV trail riding.
Property was very nice. Only issue we had was the clothes dryer didn’t work properly. Plenty of room for our family.

Amazing Vacation
We decided to take a small bday trip to Colorado for my boyfriend's 30th Birthday and it was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend staying at Chessetts Lodge. The home and property are absolutely beautiful. The home is also pretty close to some of the larger cities which allowed us to venture out each day and visit a new city/attraction. We definitely plan on coming back to this home!

Amazing stay.
The house was awesome, very clean and upkept, plenty of heat in the winter time. Lots of space for 10 people. Road was a little rough getting up with the snow. Took 4 tries on fresh snow with a 4wd dually pickup. Overall wonderful facility.

Amazing Property
This place was the perfect getaway for a week. We were secluded up a little over 11,000 ft elevation with just the snow, wind, and animals as the only thing you could hear. The house was the perfect size for the 10 of us and offered lots of over the top things that made us really feel at home. We will be back during the summer months soon.

Stunning & Spacious Log Cabin
Stunning and comfortable log cabin. We enjoyed escaping the city and getting out in the mountains. The amenities were top notch and the whole property was thrilling to be at. I've never seen so many shooting stars. It was truly a magical weekend in the mountains. Thank you!
The property was amazing. We had so many places to hang out just at the house. The hot tub was perfect after a day out. It was my birthday and they even left cakes for us. This place is a must, and it was like two vacations in one with the house and it being right up road from Breckinridge.

AWESOME!
This was a first class vacation rental. Best we have stayed at. We were so impressed. Real pool table, nice hot tub and instructios for everything except the high tech remote in the basement. The master bath tub was so cool and big enough for 2 people. We definately stay again. Thanks

Jeff was a wonderful guest and treated our property with care. We would gladly welcome Jeff back.
The listing for Chessett Lodge is very accurate; it's beautiful! We spent 9 days with our 5 adult children and 2 year old grandson. It allowed us enough space to all sit together and also allowed everyone a place to escape. The views are gorgeous, the house is well equipped. Word of warning, the house is at 11,000 feet; being flatlanders we were unaware of the many forms of elevation sickness.

Beautiful home!
Beautiful home in the mountains. We loved how secluded it was and all the privacy. We took our small oxygen portable concentrator which was definitely needed. The altitude will hit you so supplemental oxygen is a good idea. Summer in this mountain home was amazing for our family. Management was very fast with responses to our questions. We plan to rebook this home again for summer.

Fabulous Cabin!
My husband and I stayed there and we didn't want to leave. It was an absolutely fabulous cabin to vacation in. The view and the property was breathtaking. The cabin had everything we needed and it was very clean and we felt at home. One of the mornings we sat in the hot tub then went into the sauna and it was a much needed relaxation that this cabin offers. In the mornings on the second floor you can watch the sunrise and in the evenings on the balcony on the third floor you can watch the beautiful sunset. We will definitely be back. ❤️
