Deceiving

We like old and quaint...yes this was old & quaint. However didn't expect dirty and poor conditions in the heat we had. The AC was a small portable unit and didn't cover the sitting room no effect in the bathroom and kitchen nearly enough for the bedroom. Host needs to find a more efficient housekeeping service.So bad we left after one night! I made the host aware that we left & why haven't heard from the host since.

Disappointed

I arrived for check in and decided not to stay. I was not comfortable with the location, lack of suitable parking and several other issues I noticed. I did not go into the rental. I preferred to forfeit the entire cost of my 3-night reservation and booked a hotel in another area. Communication with the host was good, but per the payment policy no refund was considered, not even partial nor consideration to credit the cleaning cost since I did not check in.

Host cancelled reservation night before

I received an email the night before my check in at 10 PM stating that my reservation was canceled due to the host double booking. Not even an apology or the word “sorry” was included. I was unable to get another VRBO on such short notice in the area I needed to be in. When I responded to her email with questions about other possible apartments available for rent in this mansion she never responded. Period.
