Pamlico sound-front custom home completed in early 2022. It's located in the village of Salvo at the end of the road and is surrounded by large Live Oaks and natural fauna.

Your private front entrance into unit #1 is the brown/glass door on the left side of the home. The 10' ceilings make the retreat feel incredibly spacious. It includes a very comfortable Ghost King mattress, a coffee maker, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a ceiling fan, and linens. The custom-tiled bathroom has a solid-surface double vanity and a large glass-enclosed tile shower.

The shared outdoor space includes the front lanai with comfortable furniture, the enclosed outdoor shower, and the pier. The HVAC is centrally controlled and automatically adjusts for comfortable temperatures throughout the day and evening.

When it comes to beach access, the options are plentiful. A quick drive takes you to Rodanthe beach access, which offers a bathhouse, outdoor showers, picnic tables, and an oceanfront gazebo. For those looking for a more adventurous beach experience, Ramp 25 provides year-round 4WD access to the beaches south of Salvo. If you want to walk, it's 7-10 minutes, depending on the pace. Whether you're an angler, a surfer, or someone who enjoys the serenity of coastal life, this home provides convenient access to various recreational activities. This sound front retreat is a great home base for visiting the Outer Banks and Hatteras Island. It is off Highway 12 but hidden among giant live oaks, eastern cedars, and other natural fauna.

Self-check-in is easy with an electronic keypad door lock. Two private ensuites for rent are accessed on either side of the front door. We reside with our two Labradoodles, Bentley and Porscha, in the remainder of the home. We enjoy traveling and may or may not be home during your visit. The pier provides access to the Pamlico Sound for stunning sunsets and abundant water activities.

We took the three day trip for our 31st anniversary. We have stayed in a lot of places from nags head to Hatteras and this was by far the cleanest place I have ever stayed in on the island. I love the bathroom. It was so roomy and everything was just perfect We will definitely use this place again for any short trip. Lee was a fantastic host and very helpful.

Amazing Get Away

This property was actually amazing from beginning to end. The room was clean and looked as promised to me on the website. The location was great, accessible to the beach, restaurants, and other things we needed. The breathtaking views from the pier on the property was an added bonus to our stay. It was a great property! Would of been nice to have coffee cups, a welcome pamphlet showing more brochures/maps, no way to control the AC (it was really cold), handsoap. But all in all it was nice just wanted to let you know those little things make a difference

Perfect Couples Stay

The unit is so beautiful and as pictured. The glass shower was so nice and a good size too! The only thing is that the water pressure was a little low but it was fine in my opinion. There wasn't a lot to do in the area but we drove to Hatteras Island and Kill Devils Hill for some activities other than the beach. The beaches in the area are absolutely gorgeous and aren't crowded. It was definitely a perfect couples unit to rent for the week. The price is great as well. There's no kitchen but there is a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker which was all we really needed since we wanted to eat out most of the time anyways. Overall a great trip and definitely a place worth staying at again if we're in the area!

The room was spotless and newly redone. Door has a code which you get prior to arrival. All super easy and Lee was very fast to respond. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of storage for 1-2 people. Small fridge and coffeemaker. The shower/bathroom is brand new and spacious. I'm not sure if it's Salvo but the water pressure in the shower was non-existent. The outdoor shower had plenty of water pressure, spacious and well done. You'll need to use Waze or similar to find it. Added local charm tucked in the back of short gravel shared driveway/road. Sadly no view of the bay from the balcony but you're not paying those prices either. I would suggest adding a TV.

Little Gem in the Trees

I wish I could kept this little gem all to myself, it is a really nice accommodation for us. We are 50+ and prefer a small, quiet- non commercial location for adults to stay and eat while vacationing, this is it. The studio is one of two newly built and it was nice and clean, we loved it. We also really appreciated the trash bags, basic cleaning products and sanitized towel sets, that was perfect. The coffee pot was different but we got it- it’s a dual ground and kcup mini machine. The shower temps were great and it was very clean which is a huge bonus for us. The bed linens were also very clean and not worn out, another huge bonus for us. Everything is new and updated so there isn’t any old carpeting or flooring, so nice. We liked the location to Avon and northern Rodanthe, there are not many spots to get to the beaches in Salvo unless you really know the area well or talk more to locals but we figured it out and had an amazing stay. We will would love to come back and stay another time!
