You’re less than half a mile from Southern Soul BBQ (featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives) and Dulce Dough Doughnuts—the best doughnuts in the Golden Isles, full stop. Get there early—they sell out fast. They also do great coffee and mimosas, so whether you're jump-starting the day or just trying to survive breakfast with teenagers, you're in luck. You’re also a few minutes’ walk from Redfern Village, where you’ll find casual eats like Gnat’s Landing, oysters at Wolf Island, and a wine-lover’s gift shop you didn’t know you needed (Wine Body & Soul—yes, that’s really the name).

Best Trip Ever!

Photos don’t even do it justice! The house was so perfect for my bachelorette trip! Everyone had tons of room, no stress! The planes were super noisy, but if you can ignore it like we did, then it was great! Response from the realty team was so great. I would 100% recommend and come back!

The cutest beach house mid island!

Such a good location!! Just a few miles from the beach, but center of the island so close to all restaurants. The cutest private back yard with a great pool. Well stocked and decorated so cute.

Great place in SSI!

We enjoyed our time at this lovely home! Clean, beautiful, and everything was as pictured although the pool felt a bit smaller than in the images. Our only complaint was that they don't provide much as far as necessities to get you started. Bring trash bags, dish sponge and towel, and detergent! You'll have a great time!

Great House and Neighborhood

We have been to St. Simons many times and this has been the best house. The house was very clean, and it was great having two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms so my elderly mother could stay downstairs and we could have privacy in a bedroom upstairs. The kitchen was well stocked, so we could prepare breakfast in the mornings. The neighbors were also great! The only minor issues were the pool and airport noise. This is the closest we have stayed to the airport, so we didn't know it was that busy! However, it wasn't noisy to the point where we couldn't sleep or were awakened at night. The pool's heater was on, and unfortunately, it wasn't fixed until the last full day of our stay. Despite those minor issues, we will definitely be staying there again!

Gorgeous house, cute area

The house is gorgeous, upscale, clean, and stocked with shampoo/conditioner, hand soap, beach towels, books/games/puzzles and a very small supply of toilet paper, paper towels and clothes/dishwashing pods. Pool is on the small side but the heater works very well, which is great since it's not that warm there in March. Within walking distance of a grocery store and unique restaurants/shopping. Drive to the pier/beach. The biggest room for improvement is the communication with the property management company. They're quick to respond and friendly, but they don't know much about the property and since there's no sheet/book that explains anything about the house/area we were in the dark on the TVs (not straightforward and didn't all have YT TV), pool, appliances, trash, rules, etc. On day 3 when we told them the pool cleaning robot was full of leaves, they said it was our job to empty the unit/skim the pool daily. Happy to do that but we should have been informed and given instructions when we arrived. Also, prior to arrival when we asked we were told the house didn't have things like beach towels, games/cards, soap so we packed, checked and paid for an extra suitcase filled with these things. But when we arrived, the house fully stocked with everything we lugged here and more. Hassle and waste of money. All in all, the house is outstanding and the area is walkable and fun, but as a frequent renter of vacation houses, we're just used to better customer service.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is simply the perfect set up when traveling with a family. Our family spent our first Spring Break on St. Simons Island and at the Lake Heron Cottage. We are frequent travelers and often rent homes to stay in both in the US and Abroad. It was peak season with highest rental rate which is to be expected. What we were shocked by is the lack of communication and resolve given by the rental company and property owner. A shower on the second floor was leaking through the bath vent on main level and we were scolded for calling at an inconvenient time as well as told to point the shower head down or don't use the shower as resolve. This is the FIRST time ever we were given such an unbelievably unexceptable solution of any property we stayed in. When we are investing top dollar for a vacation property, we expect everything to work and if it doesn't, some form of a solution or compensation. One of our children is 6'2"and needless to say, he couldn't fit under a shower head pointed downward. There was no apology, no offer of reimbursement actually, no resolve. Very disappointing in addition to the fact, this home will experience a mold problem shortly. It was such an unfortunate end to a situation that could have been resolved so much better.

The pool blows every other Saint Simons pool I’ve ever visited out of the water. The home is elegant, yet couldn’t be more comfortable. Someone seriously put a lot of thought into this. There are little work spaces all over the house if anyone needs to get some work done. I couldn’t have been more impressed. My family stays with Emmons Realty all the time. They never disappoint, but this house is special. Not to mention, super close and convenient to everything you’d want on the island. Thanks again guys. We will be back.
