Wonderful Studio at Orient Beach, with a splendid view.

The luxuriously equipped studio is located on the French side of the lively 2 ½ kms (=1 ½ miles) long Orient Bay, the longest and nicest beach of Sint Maarten.

The studio has a pleasant atmosphere and is equipped with all essential facilities. From the spacious terrace, which is on the ground floor, you have a splendid view over Orient Bay beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

The studio has a calm and a pleasant ocean breeze.

The studio is surrounded by a well-kept tropical garden. It consists of 1 living/bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The studio is suitable for a maximum of 3 persons.

Moreover you can make use of a spacious swimming pool and deckchairs as well as the two tennis courts on the property.

The whole property is secured by 24/7 security-patrol and surveillance camera's. There are also two parking areas available to park your car

Orient Beach as well as the pool is about a 1 minute walk from the studio. The Beach is well known of the watersport facilities and the bars and restaurant. There is also a nude part of the beach.

The village of Grand Case is at a 3 kilometres’ (= 1 ¾ miles’) distance and is known for its “haute cuisine”. There you can eat out deliciously and relatively cheaply. Marigot is at approximately a 5 kilometres’ (= 3 miles’) distance and the international “Prinses Juliana Airport” is about 17 kilometres (= 10 miles) from the studio.

Location is everything! Among all apartments in the Residence Hotel Mont Vernon, this one has one of the best locations: ground floor and ocean front in the building called "Aruba". Highly recommended.

Yolanda was terrific and so was Sophia. The apartment was well outfitted and we enjoyed the view. The rest of the property still has a way to go after Irma but you wouldn't know it from this apartment.

IT'S ABOUT THE VIEW

Upon arrival Sophia was waiting for us in the lobby, and made two trips helping us carry down our luggage and some groceries. She also brought a new television the following day as the old one had become inoperable, the channels were very limited but we were not there to watch tv, the wifi was excellent and that was more important to us. The studio is just a stones throw to the water and has a unobstructed view of the beach, the only drawback is that parking can be quite challenging during high season. We had a wonderful stay otherwise.

Beautiful View

We thought the check-in time was 4 but since our plane arrived around 12:30, Sophia waited for us to arrive at that time. We weren't aware we could check in early so unfortunately she ended up waiting on us. She was more concerned that we had trouble finding the place. We apologized for the misunderstanding. She showed up the parking spot. The real issue we found with the parking was that is was difficult to navigate because our rental was an SUV. Had it been a smaller car, it would have been easier to get into the spot and not taken as many tries to get into the spot. It's just a difficult angle unless you have a small car. The rental is a short walk from the parking space. The cobble stone walk with steps was a little difficult while carrying luggage or groceries, but there is an option of taking the cart path if needed. Sophia showed us the rental and answered our questions. She was really great. The studio had everything we needed. There were issues with the water but there were 5 gallon tanks of water for such incidents. We learned quickly to leave one out on the patio in the sun so we could shower with warm water if there was no water that evening. There were plenty of outlet adapters for us to use since our devices were from the US. Yolanda was great to get back to me when I contacted her prior to our trip. She has uniquely decorated her place with much of her own art. The furniture was dated, but functional. We were able to sleep comfortably though the bed was a little hard and the pillows were a bit flat. She had umbrellas and chairs stored under the bed for use at the beach and that was really nice to be able to utilize. We had all the dishes we needed but were sometimes afraid something would fall out as we were trying to get a plate or bowl out as the cabinets were quite full. It was nice to have an electric hot water kettle! Most of the places I've stayed do not. The unit could have been cleaner. We could have used more storage for our clothing. We do try to keep in mind that this is someone else's vacation home and it is tailored to their needs, tastes, and desires. We spent most of our time at the beach so this little efficiency served our every need. We had a beautiful view of Orient Beach and the water every morning and evening as that was the only time we were there! The area felt very safe and we would recommend this sweet little place to anyone who wants a safe place to land at night and spend their days out exploring!

Fantastic place

This apartment is a very cute place, well maintained, well equipped. Fantastic view to the ocean. A few feet away from the beach. Short driving distances, literally minutes away to Anse Marcel, Grand Case, Marigot. The owner, Yolanda, and Sophia, her help, are easy to reach; they will answer immediately any questions you have. I enjoyed staying there.

located on the ground floor overlooking orient. steps from the beach. room was clean and fully stocked with whatever you needed. sophia the manager was a doll! yolanda the owner was great with her quick email responses. bed was very comfortable. the a/c didn't cool the room at all but we were lucky enough to have ocean breezes and a fan. other than the a/c i would highly recommend this apartment. (when we got home i emailed yolanda and again she was quick to respond that she would work on the a/c fix right away) thank you yolanda...

EVERYTHING THAT YOU COULD HAVE IN A VACATION HOME

Communication with Yolanda was easy and efficient. Meeting with Andrina was timely upon arrival. The studio is a stones throw from the water and the view is fantastic. This studio is not your typical rental apartment with just the bare essentials, but it is a home away from home, every thing that you could possible need is there. The bathroom is ultra modern, the kitchen fully stocked and the king size bed very comfortable,and the view was beautiful! We would book this studio again on our next trip.

Beach View Condo

As always, we had a fantastic stay in this lovely apartment. It is maintained at the highest levels of cleanliness and has great access to the beach. The views are tremendous. We walked the beach daily, swam, surfed and snorkeled in the ocean. The kitchen is complete (all major appliances including a washing machine, stove and microwave) and the bathroom pristine. There is a comfortable king-sized bed, ample seating in the living room and a lovely patio for dining. We often dined out in Grand Case where there are several excellent restaurants. There is a small grocery store and fantastic French Patisserie (Express) quite close to the complex and two large supermarkets on the island. The property manager and owner are both extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the facility. Parking is available. We would recommend renting a car in this location.

PERFECT vacation. AMAZING studio.

Perfect week at the end of Feb/beginning March 2017. PERFECTION. The Studio is gorgeous. Nothing could be better including the view! Loved mornings/ evenings on the patio--watching the hummingbirds other birds, sky at sunset. Everything we needed was there: beach towels, little folding beach chairs and umbrella, soap, shampoo, bug spray (not needed---it's so breezy here and on the ocean, no mosquitoes), Kleenex, paper towels , toilet paper, power converters---etc. The king bed was wonderfully comfortable. Unit has good lights for reading. If you'd have trouble walking up stairs and hill from parking and from beach/pool- Mont Vernon isn't for you. Otherwise it's wonderful. If you want pristine grounds-not for you. But the inside of this unit is LOVELY. New. Updated. Light. Bright. Clean, Spacious. Everything you need is there. The owner was wonderfully responsive. The woman who met us was delightful. The swimming pool is outstanding. Love walking Orient Beach (about a mile and a half), loved swimming in the gentle surf, playing in the waves. Owner even has boogie boards and noodles. Love lunch on Orient Beach at Coconuts (fried shrimp), or Little Kakao (Panini's or pizza or burgers---good burgers even if you want medium rare!). Reasonable prices. Chairs and umbrellas to rent: $25 a day for two people. Less if you walk all the way down in front of the little places near Club Orient ($20 day including 2 drinks). I prefer the quiet, and waves, in front of Palm Beach and Coconut. Splurge on dinner at nearby Sol e Luna. Expensive but consistently the BEST meal on the island (even better than Grand Case in our experience). Love the ambience at the restaurants on the water side in Grand Case. Beef/duck at Tastevin. Wonderful. Fish just so-so. Snorkel at Creole Rock with Octopus Diving at Grand Case Beach Club. ($50 pp---for two hours, little boat ride, includes equipment and flotation belt if you want it). Lunch at Sunset Café there. FABULOUS food and view. Reasonable cost. We love to go to the restaurants at Plage Orient for dinner too. 5 minute drive. Circle of 7-8 restaurants: French, Italian, Mediterranean, Thai---all good. Music in the square some nights. Feels festive and European. Food at Voile Blanche our favorite. Surf and Turf amazing. Shrimp, Scallops, Risotto. Beef Carpaccio. Tiny little grocery store across street: great! for water, cereal, eggs, bread. Larger local grocery store for more choices. We will be back!!!

There is everything you need and more. All updated and comfortable. We enjoyed everything. The manager met us and helped us so much including even a great bottle of wine in frig! Fantastic!

You can not go wrong with this unit! Easy to book and very quick responses to questions. Wonderful lady, Andrina, met us at reception and brought us to the apartment. When she opened the door I could smell lemons! It was so clean. Next was the view! It is breathtaking. Yolanda had supplied everything you need. The walk down to the beach is 2 mins. The French are so nice and the food was beyond. We will be back and we will most definitely rent from Yolanda again!

Wonderful stay

Wonderful, comfortable, scenic beach view condo

The Mont Vernon property is beautiful, build on a hillside with scenic views of Orient Bay on St. Martin. There is a great full service kitchen for those who cook , full bathroom, king bed with night stands and a complete living room. Table and chairs outside for meals on the "porch" and chairs for sitting and enjoying the view. The poo and beach are a one minute walk and is in view of the condo. The furniture is comfortable and there is a desk area for a computer and good wifi. Large TV for those who want it. Yes, the listing is accurate. The property and condo are clean and well-maintained. The owner and manager are great and very helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone. There are many activities, mainly the beach and pool and lots of great restaurants. All varieties of food!! A great place to stay.

Our favorite spot!

This was our second stay at this beautiful apartment. It truly represents a slice of paradise. The apartment is pristine, the location ideal and offers easy access to the beach and pool. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable and there are generous amounts of towels and even beach toys available. The manager was kind and extremely helpful. We stayed for several weeks and she cleaned the apartment weekly. She provided us with a local cell phone and ample information about the surrounding area. We would recommend renting a car to see a variety of sites on the island. We have already rebooked for next year.

Gorgeous Ocean View & Fantastic Owner

First I'd like to say that I met Yolanda (owner) about 3 years ago at Mt. Vernon, she was sitting outside her patio sewing and I just started talking to her. And let me just say, that I couldn't have met a nicer person. Yolanda, showed me her condo and all I can say to Yolanda, if I can rent your condo the next time we come and we did! GORGEOUS OCEAN VIEW -- GREAT CONDO -- FANTASTIC OWNER! As many times we stayed at Mt. Vernon, none match the view from her beautiful studio from sunrise to sunset. We just couldn't get enough of the SPECTACULAR view! The condo is very well equipped with EVERYTHING you can think of and how clean and well kept the studio is. The beach was and pool was only 50 ft from the condo. We highly recommend you stay here...You can't ask for a better place to stay! Counting the days till our next stay. THANK YOU AGAIN

Nice apartment at a great location!

After an 8 hour flight and 30 min drive we arrived at the apartment. Yolanda was there to greet us. She showed us the apartment which was nicely decorated and (most important) clean! She gave us some tips for activities and told us we could contact her if necessary. The apartment was quiet with a terrace looking out towards the ocean. Good bed and other facilities. We liked to have a swimming pool and the beach so close to our apartment. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this apartment!

No doubt you will enjoy your stay in our studio. We have tried to keep its interior as original as possible. Especially the view will attract your attention. It is so nice to sit on the terrace and watch all the activities on the beach, in, on and over the turquoise waters, watch Saint Barths at a 15 miles' distance and enjoy the pelicans passing by every morning and afternoon. The cool sea breeze will see to it that you feel comfortable.
