Oceanfront Cottage On Sandy Carbon Beach – Pelican

This beautiful 1 bedroom that sleeps 4 is oceanfront with unobstructed panoramic ocean views. It has a large long deck and steps to a dry sandy beach just outside the vacation rental. There are pegged hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and accented with stainless steel appliances with plenty of counter space and a bar sink.

The rental has 1 bedroom with a king size bed. In addition there is a large sleeper sofa in the living room.

There is a washer & dryer on site for your convenience. Included with the rental is a one car garage and parking for an extra car. In addition, the property is gated for extra privacy.

The rental is beachfront on Carbon Beach which has been nicknamed “Billionaire’s Beach” and has unobstructed panoramic ocean views of Queens Necklace and Catalina Island. It is just yards from the famous Surfrider Beach, Malibu Pier, the Adamson House and world class restaurants.

You can plan for a wonderful, carefree, relaxing vacation at one of the best locations in Malibu. In addition to the amazing ocean views and the beach just steps away, nearby you’ll enjoy strolling through two shopping centers that are home to world-class shops and restaurants. When you are not on the beach, you can also enjoy the flat screen HD TVs, blue-ray, stereo with iPod connection, CD player and wi-fi. We provide all linens, towels, beach chairs, and gas barbeque, so you don't need to pack those essentials.

We are pet friendly and there is a pet fee.

The ocean views are unbeatable. We stayed here about 10 years ago with two toddlers and we were back recently with two teenagers. We loved both times and hope to come back again.

While we enjoyed staying on the beach, we are disappointed that the owner changed the unit we had rented and moved us to another unit. The caretaker told us that the people who rented the unit were so supposed to have wanted to stay longer. It was wrong to give our unit to a renter who decided to stay and didn’t want to move. This situation made us feel undervalued as guests, and it disrupted our vacation plans. We had looked forward to staying in the original unit, and the unexpected change negatively impacted our experience.The unit we were given lacked furniture. We had to take two stools from the kitchen to put our luggage on. The table was spattered with white paint. We did not bring any food nor did we cook any food. Glad we didn’t plan to as there were ants on the walls, floor, and in the sinks. Out of a three night stay we only had “warm “ water one morning for a shower. We could get it in the afternoon but that didn’t help. Very, very disappointed!

Peaceful deck overlooking ocean was our morning respite. We were within a 20 min drive for everywhere we needed to go. Would definitely return.Only one true downside: We had an issue with sugar ants that the onsite contact was quick to try and address although it didn’t complete resolve.

I loved our stay at this location. I have stayed at many VRBOs on the California coast and this is my favorite by far. The proximity to the ocean, hearing the waves crash on the sand, smelling the sea. We loved it and will be back again!
