Terrific Place, Gorgeous Beachfront - But Loud Weekday Construction Very Near
This place is perfect - renovated, pristinely clean, comfortable, beautiful location. I recommend staying here to anyone. It is laid out nicely and worked well for us. Of course the reason to stay here is the beach, which is incredibly private and gorgeous. This location has a lot of deep beachfront, which properties further south of the pier on PCH do not have. I also love the location on Malibu Road for quiet and safety - again, it is not on PCH with cars zinging by. Highly recommend this property.
The only downside is a temporary one if staying during the week. We came during the week when the listing stated the price had adjusted slightly during the week due to “minor construction across the street”. Well, I think of roofers, or pavers, or plumbers - but alas - this was major - two enormous cranes, a crew of 20-30 workers next door pile driving all day beginning at 6:59am and ending around 3:45pm. Once they left in the afternoon it was peaceful - we slept with the windows open listening to the waves all night. Then at 6:59am, an alarm clock no one could sleep through. The workers were organized and polite, but the massive machinery was not. I am sure staying here on the weekend is lovely. Until the house adjacent to next door is completed, just be aware of weekday construction. I would like to say only nice things and can overlook a lot, but this was exceedingly loud. We decided to go with it, got up early, went to get coffee at Malibu Country Mart and came “home” later.
