All fine. Basic accommodations. Nothing to get too excited by. But did what it needed to do. No real complaints except just some awkward things…like a Christmas tree out in June, the couch was draped in a blanket, the decor not really as advertised. Nice enough for sure. But wouldn’t really go for a celebration or anything.
The pin on the Vrbo app is not correct. Directions from this location is actually a quarter mile away, and not in the best neighborhood. But, we made sure to keep everything locked up and curtains closed on the main floors. We also didn’t go out after dusk, which was recommended. That worked for us because of our early morning schedules but that is something to keep in mind. There was a lot of activity outside of this area after dark. If my husband wouldn’t have been with us, my daughter and I would have definitely moved somewhere we felt more safe. Check in was very smooth, and plenty of parking. The stairs to get to the bedrooms and bathroom are pretty treacherous, some even loose. We were 3 able-bodied individuals, but I wouldn’t book if there are any handicap needs or children under 12 or so because of the stairs
It was easy to check in and access the property. Easy access to main roads to get to your destination. Only bummer is the one bath BUT the jack and Jill set up worked well for two guests.
Then there is the condition of the property—or rather, the complete lack of maintenance. It looks like nothing has been updated since the property was purchased. All the walls are dirty, there are cobwebs everywhere, the air vents are rusty, the shower curtain has turned yellow, and the sheer curtains in the rooms are covered in yellow stains. All the baseboards have a thick layer of dust. There was someone else's hair in the sink.It is impossible to know when this place was last properly cleaned.Absolutely everything felt disgusting. The pillows were horrible and impossible to sleep on.The bedding looked and felt like it cost about 5.It was made of cheap polyester and felt like sleeping inside a garbage bag. This was torture, not a night's rest. There was no Wi-Fi,and because of that, the air conditioning did not work.It was unbearably hot and stuffy inside,so we had no choice but to sleep with the windows open.To make things even worse, some neighbors were yelling and celebrating something for half the night,so it was extremely difficult to sleep. One bathroom connects two bedrooms, but the doors can only be locked from the bathroom side.We had no way to lock our bedroom door, leaving us with nAnd the worst part—centipedes were crawling on the ceiling directly above our pillows. We literally wanted to run away from this place. The owners clearly do not care about the condition of the property at all.The photos are extremely misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the place.
Such a cute little apartment, everything was clean, appliances all looked updated. The street was fairly quiet and has tons of parking available. We had a really enjoyable time here while in Pitt
The property is just as listed, on a very quiet street but still close to walk to downtown. The neighborhood is safe and the only sounds I heard were the pleasant sounds of birds chirping. The home is updated and clean, and the owner was very easy to communicate with. Plenty of parking on the street right in front of the house. We stayed to watch my daughter run the Pittsburgh marathon, and it was easy to walk downtown so we didn’t have to deal with parking. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and his friends did not feel comfortable staying in this neighborhood . Did not feel comfortable leaving vehicle on street. they didn't stay and got a hotel instead.
As a Duquesne onkine graduate student I recently stayed here for my white coat ceremony weekend. I will have to admit, I am from a country town so I did freak out a bit when seeing the neighborhood before checkin. However, I overreacted. The neighbors were nice and the neighborhood was quiet. The only drawback was the stairs. But in the city this is notmal.
Check in was great, check out was a little more difficult as the lock died half way through our stay. The place felt amazing and looked exactly like the photos, kitchen was modern and clean. Bathroom was a little mid but totally acceptable. Beds were clean and comfy. The stairs were a little intimidating, and one of the power outlets in my room didn't work. Also the AC is very strong, but doesn't make it upstairs quickly, we woke up sweating. The biggest issue is if you are planning to walk, be ready for a hike, the map does not do the hill justice. It's a 15 min walk up a STEEP hill from the city, so steep our car chugged. Plus the area was a little rough, however all of the people were very friendly. That all being said it was a positive experience! And if we're in the area again will strongly think about using it again!

Loads of potential, but feels unfinished
Needed a place to sleep for two nights while we broke up a long car trip to Ohio and wanted to check out a new city. Location was fine for that - not walkable to anything notable aside from the August Wilson house - but the sleeping part not so much. We realized in the evening that one of the beds was broken, and could not hold two adults. One of my skinny teens was fine with sleeping on it and we put the other on the sofa. The owner replied after we checked out that that was "weird' about the bed. Also, the place feels about 70% ready for renters. It's got loads of potential, but is sparsely furnished, has only one working bathroom, and the backyard is just a weeded-over construction dump site. Otherwise, it was easy to check in and the TV and Internet worked.
