Why Sunset Bay Rental Cape Cod chose Yarmouth Port
The home is located on a very special piece of property that is surrounded by 300 acres of conservation land and overlooks Great Marshes, a tidal marsh. The nature trails that lead to Grays beach are easily accessed 50 feet away. The sunsets and views are spectacular. As one of our guests had said, 'You feel like you're on your own private island.' During the course of a day, the lighting changes and creates a magical setting. Cape Cod Bay is the only location on the East Coast where you can view the sun setting over the ocean. It is peaceful and serene to be surrounded by nature and view hundreds of species of birds that call this paradise their home along with white-tailed bunnies who frolick in the yard at dawn and dusk. It is located north of Route 6A, very desirable and within fifteen minutes of ferries, train, airport, pristine bay beaches, Cape Cod Playhouse, antique shops, art galleries, museums, clam shacks, multiple golf courses, playgrounds, kayaking, boat launch, charter boats, and whale watching boats. A five minute walk to the neighborhood playground and the village store/ice cream shop. A fifteen minute walk to Grays Beach. Only two miles to the newly opened Rail Trail extension and Kings Way Golf Club and Bayberry Hills Golf Course A perfect location in a perfect setting.

Great Communication and Experience
We had a great time. Nance was very accommodating as we brought our 5 year old daughter her for her post surgery recovery.
Great Time in Yarmouth Port!!
This is our second year staying Sunset Bay Cottage. The house is very comfortable, well appointed, and has what you need. Nance (the owner) has put in the effort to be welcoming and she provides a lot of good information to make your stay fun and easy.
The location is great! The house is in a neighborhood so you can take a walk without needing to venture out onto busy roads. The location is close to both good beaches and grocery and other shopping.
Wonderful place for a family vacation
This cottage was lovely! Very well maintained, clean, very comfortable, and had all of the amenities we needed (except maybe a beach umbrella, maybe next time! ;-)). The bedrooms were very comfortable and good size. Nance was very attentive and checked on us to see if we needed refills of anything mid-week (ie- toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, etc). It was in a nice quiet neighborhood that allowed for safe biking for the family (bikes provided were great!). Although we didn't use the kayaks, it's nice that they are there for guest use. There was plenty of room for when he had a couple of friends over for dinner as well. Wonderful views of the bay when you are out in the yard. It was nice that we weren't more than an hour from anywhere we wanted to visit (Provincetown). My boys have already said they want to go back, so when we head back to the Cape we'll be contacting Nance again! You will not be disappointed renting this cottage!
Beautiful marsh views
Lovely home, perfect for a family. Ideal location for exploring the marsh; next to a path to the beach. The views from the large back yard were magnificent. Clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated house, well supplied with bicycles and boats and life vests. The house also has an attached garage with garage door opener -- an unusual amenity. Would have liked to stay longer!
Gin & Tonic for the Soul
Spent the 4th of July week in this wonderful, well managed property in beautiful Yarmouth Port. The property is in a quiet residential neighborhood bordering conservation land that offers beautiful sunset views (hence the name) and is filled with birds and wildlife - from the deck we saw a doe with her babies and a turkey hen with her chicks. The cottage was well appointed, fully stocked and very clean. The bathrooms and kitchen looked recently renovated and the house is nicely decorated. The central air conditioning really helped during the hot days and there are lots of toys for those who want to bike, kayak, go to the beach, etc. Additionally, the owners provide a lot of reading material for those who want to explore and don't know the area well. Plus there's a new deck and adirondack chairs in the yard near the salt marsh for those who just want to sit and relax. Would definitely recommend, and not hesitate to stay here again.
Nance was amazing and the cottage was stunning. The cottage was clean and quiet and our dogs loved being able to go on hikes and travel with us. Nancy checked in to see if their was anything we needed and even left a little gift for us on the table. Truly an amazing stay and would definently recommend this cottage and nance to anyone who really wants to relax and enjoy their vacation.
It is known locally as both Grays Beach and Bass Hole. Located only one mile away by conservation trails next to property or by car it is 1.5 miles and offers free parking. There is a roped off area for swimming which is shallow for some distance from shore in a protected bay providing shelter from the often present Cape Cod wind and is ideal for small children. Next to the swimming beach is a launch area for small boats and kayaks, which provides access into Chase Garden Creek for kayakers looking for a marsh river paddle.Travel in the other direction from the launch takes kayaks, sailboats and small powerboats out into Barnstable harbor. With a boat or kayak it is also possible to land on Chapin Memorial Beach in Dennis, which has a beach on both Chase Garden Creek and Cape Cod Bay.Walk along the boardwalk next to the launch area which takes you out to the edge of the harbor where you can watch the boats, the shorebirds, fiddler crabs and fish or just enjoy the marsh itself. At the other end of Gray’s Beach, just past the picnic area there is access to a walking trail through a section of the marsh. An 860' boardwalk takes you out over the marsh to the woods beyond.
The pristine bay beaches are a 15 minute drive down Rt 6A and will not disappoint with their beautiful white sand and calm, warm ocean waters.
The neighborhood playground was completed in June 2015 and is only a 10 minute walk away.
