Hope's Anchor is a newly built and custom designed home (by us). Located 16 miles north of Pierre just off the shores of Lake Oahe. Here you can enjoy luxurious accommodations while feeling like you are outside. The scenic views from the homes large windows are lovely and guests can easily walk to the river. The neighborhood is peaceful. It is a great place to get away.

There are multiple access points including boat launches within a couple mile radius of the property. Additionally, there are thousands of acres of state and federal land open to hunting close to the property. The house has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms to fit your family or group and can handle up to 12 guests. You will appreciate the level of details that went into this home.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please leave the beds unmade that were slept in so I know which ones need to be washed. If you could run the dishwasher & put the kitchen trash in the dumpster by the back deck that would be helpful.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Our home is located in a retirement community and we ask that guests are considerate and maintain quiet hours from 10 PM - 7 AM.
No pets allowed unless you have our written permission in an email. If allowed each pet will be assessed a fee.
Do not bring campers. There are several campgrounds nearby that can provide accommodations.

The house is exactly what was described in the listing and pictures. Nice quiet neighborhood. Very clean and newer house. All bedrooms had comfortable beds. Layout of the kitchen and living room was perfect for our group. I would definitely stay here again. Also our host was very prompt with answering messages.

The home faces southwest which fills the home with natural light throughout the day. It feels like we are living outside while enjoying modern amenities. The views are beautiful throughout the day and just a short walk from the river where we hike, boat, fish, and swim. The community is friendly and there is comfort of having neighbors like a small town in the country.

What makes this property unique

The views are incredible and located close to the river for easy access for hiking, swimming, boating and fishing. There is public land located nearby for hunting as well.
