Welcome to Blue Moon Cottage, a charming home nestled in the heart of Owensboro, that offers a lovely blend of vintage allure and modern comfort. Built in 1935 and recently remodeled, this historic home exudes both character and contemporary elegance.

Relax by the pool and cozy outdoor seating area, or indulge in the beautifully decorated interiors which includes a room dedicated to bluegrass music, a musical genre that originated in this area.

Blue Moon Cottage is a great place to stay. The home is clean and roomy with everything you need. The beds are very comfortable. We really enjoyed the nice clean pool in the backyard and the fun music room. The hosts are great hosts. They were both very attentive to our needs with quick responses. I would highly recommended! We enjoyed are week stay here. The house was clean and everything needed was thoughtfully provided. I especially enjoyed the music room. I hope to visit Owensboro again soon and stay here if its available.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The location was great for day trips to Louisville and Nashville, both about two hours away. Don't miss Fridays after 5 in the riverfront! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the downstairs whirlpool tub and double shower. The kitchen is small with limited food storage buy he music room cabinets worked well. The only downside was the pool area. There was quite a bit of debris in the pool despite the skimmer running, the floats and furniture had caked on debris and the grill needed a good cleaning. This did not stop us from enjoying everything we just had to clean things. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this propery.

The Blue Moon Cottage was a winner in all categories! Clean, comfortable, and close to the places we traveled to visit. Excellent communication from owner and super easy check in and out. We travel to Owensboro annually and always stay with VRBO. Blue Moon is hands down the best rental in the area!

This house was great! We were only there for a couple of nights but the host is amazing! Check in was easy, it was clean, the pool & backyard were beautiful. We were there too early in season to use the pool but it was clean and well taken care of. The house is beautifully decorated. A bit older than I expected but so charming! My only slight complaint is that the bathroom upstairs is VERY small. We are not tall people but there is a big slant in the wall in the shower and it made it difficult for my husband who is only 5’8” to shower. It was less of an issue for me at 5’3” you can tell they did what they could to make it work though. And the staircase is very narrow. But overall it was great! The host was very friendly and kind. They even had some snacks available when we got there.

Blue Moon Cottage was a great place for our get away!! The kitchen was well equipped so we were able to fix dinner both nights. Pool was not open for the season yet. The host was great to work with and very quick to respond. Jouse was big enough for some family to gather and enjoy each comfortably. Definitely will have to try and stay here again when the pool is open. The decor of the house was so cute. So overall I scored huge brownie points with my fiancé and her family for getting this place!

Wonderful & relaxing

This place exceeded my expectations, it was stunning! They didn’t miss a single detail and the interior decorator did an amazing job! The pool was so much fun and the area was very peaceful! We would return, this was the best experience I’ve ever had in a short term rental, there are zero complaints, it was so perfect!

Great layout and amenities for multiple families

House layout is fantastic for several families. Bedrooms are large with closets stocked with extra blankets, pillows and a small fan. The kitchen is small, but stocked with everything we needed. The stocked coffee area and basket of snacks were used daily. Both kids and adults enjoyed the large pool. We will stay here again the next time we visit the area.

Beautiful home in Owensboro

Was in town for a family event last week. The Blue Moon Cottage is a beautiful home, with plenty of space and everything you can think of. Has to be one of the best rentals in Owensboro. Nice quiet neighborhood but also minutes away from anything you need, especially good barbecue! We will definitely stay here again next time we are in town!
