My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The property was cozy and served our needs. It was right on the water with a lovely view and so quiet at night that we were able to relax and rest easy. I highly recommend this place for a quick getaway!

Lovely location and cottage. Beds were super comfortable and the master suite, spectacular. Incredible view both day and night. Wonderfully outfitted for cooking in and loved how clearly labeled everything was. Very generous complimentary treats tray and coffee was lovely. Perfect for two couples. One queen bed in downstairs bedroom and one king bed upstairs in master. Will rent this little gem again!

We very much enjoyed our girls' trip to this cozy cottage! The cottage itself was beautiful and well-appointed. The beds were super comfy. We loved waking up to that amazing view every morning and enjoying a cup of coffee while watching the sea life. A quick note about the stairs, they are tricky and I think I overestimated my abilities to navigate them. My friend and I, both being in our 60s had a bit of a challenge with them and with our luggage, but like another reviewer said, once we were there we were very happy. Katrina is an amazing host and so responsive. Oh, and one other thing - Vashon has the friendliest people. Everyone we met was so welcoming! Vashon is a wonderful destination, and the cottage is a beautiful and cozy place to call homebase!

We had an awesome experience and stay at Sand dollar Beach Cottage. It was so peaceful to wake every morning to the sound of the waves outside our door. Every day of our 10 day stay we had wonderful views and saw many beautiful creatures: Bald Eagles, Sea Lions, Otters, Porpoises and many others. It was amazing! Katrina was an amazing host. She was always available if we had questions. We will definitely return for another visit to Vashon Island and the Beach Cottage.

Simply perfection! Absolution stunning home with out of this world views. Katrina was a fantastic communicator. Pictures don’t do this slice of heaven justice ! We loved watching the otters play each morning and used the kayaks to enjoy the ocean at our finger tips. Just lovely !!!

The kitchen was very well equpped and the location is really fabulous right on the water. If you are here in the winter, do get extra logs and enjoy the wood stove. There is other heat but that wood stove is nice.Do know that there are steps down to the house from the parking area-which the website does tell you-so you'll need to be prepared to carrry in but once you're in the cabin, you'll be happy you're there.

Absolutely stunning property

This home is beautiful inside and out! The stay was absolutely amazing and Kat took care of us in every aspect and was very responsive to any questions. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Vashon. Would highly recommend booking a stay here.

Great Stay!

We had a lovely time, the view of the water from cottage was amazing! It was exactly what we needed to relax. The one thing, with us being a bit older, we didn’t realize that there would be so many steep stairs coming from garage down to cottage.

Beautiful and peaceful

We enjoyed our stay. Property really is on the beach. We loved the long views across the Sound. Everything was clean and cozy. Shops are an easy drive away. Staff was responsive when we had questions. Would book again.

Very cool place. The kayaks are awesome. Very cool to see the tide go out and in. Saw fireworks over the hill in Tacoma that had to be after a Rainier’s game at Cheney Stadium. Pretty cool. Very relaxing place. Use the water jug near the kitchen instead of tap water for cooking would be my only suggestion. Easy check in and out process.

Amazing Views!

Our stay was great! A relaxing and memory filled family weekend with my husband, 5 year old, baby and dog. The house was comfortable and clean. The views can't be beat. The location on the water was amazing. We had so much fun going out multiple times a day to walk along and explore the beach. The house is well stocked and the host Kat is super responsive when we needed to reach out to her during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Mother’s Day girls trip

My mom, sister and I had a great time in Vashon this Mother’s Day for our girls trip. The cottage was very clean and peaceful just as pictured! We saw lots of birds and even a seal popped his head up a few times! The view is beautiful and the weather was great! We enjoyed exploring the island and all the scenery and then coming back to this cozy cottage! The host Kat was great, very friendly and responsive to any questions we had. Thank you for a great stay!

We absolutely loved this house! The views are amazing! Beds are super comfy! We really had a good chance to relax and be together as a family during spring break. It was fun to see the difference between low and high tide. Tons of shells to investigate. We would have stayed longer if we could have. My 7 year old was crying as we left on the ferry and is already planning our return trip. ;) The listing is described very accurately. It is an older home but is updated throughout. Kitchen is very modern with everything we needed to prepare meals. Drawers and cupboards were even labeled so you could find things easily. Communication with the host was excellent! Don't hesitate to stay here!

This is a super cute property on the shore with amazing views. My stay was cut short due to property issues that can happen to anyone at anytime and easily resolved, but things happen to homes. As a home owner, I totally understand this so I would never ding a rental because of this. Kat was amazingly responsive and took care of dealing with this while making sure I was refunded for the day I couldn’t stay there while they fixed the property. Stuff happens and all you can do is deal with random life events; and, during those times it’s so great to have the person involved with problems work with you instead of making it hard for everyone. Kat is very communicative and the property is amazing. I missed out on the second day stay that I was looking forward to, but I will totally return to this amazing property.

Relaxing and Comfortable

This was a birthday stay, 2 adults and 2 small dogs. Kat was very responsive to all our questions. We did not end up going kayaking as planned but loved the decorating that had been done, Loved the games and puzzles, books and treats she left for the pups! Rocky beach but still nice for strolling.
