Located on the outskirts of town in a secluded neighborhood we are pleased to offer this 2Bed/1Bath remodeled home for rent. The home is located on the north end of Independence, 3 min from downtown. Looking for outdoor time - there is a screened in porch on the front and open patio seating on the back porch to observe the horses in the east pasture. Or hang out in the hammock in the front yard! Great place to relax but still have the amenities of town close by.

Immaculate property with well stocked linens and kitchen. Rooms were well appointed and beds were comfortable. Plenty of room to relax.

The house was very clean and we appreciated having a washer and dryer available. It was very quiet at night. I will stay there again.

Just right

My family and I stayed for four nights while visiting friends/family in Independence. It was perfect for us. Just the right size for two adults and two five-year-olds (who loved the bunk beds). Convenient location, all of the amenities we needed including a full kitchen with washer/dryer, and a lovely porch/backyard the girls loved running around in. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

Perfect for us

We are a very active couple. One of our adult sons traveled with us as well. The house was easy to find and right off a main road. All of the rooms were very spacious. The host responded quickly and was very helpful when we asked. We definitely enjoyed the stay and

Cute and quiet

We love the charm of the little farmhouse. Loved the screened in porch and the deck. It had all the amenities we needed. If we had the time we would have stayed for much longer. Will definitely come back sometime.

Little House on the Prairie stay

Everything was good except for no coffee, coffee maker but no coffee! No Hair Dryer, we had to go buy one. The beds were clean and comfortable. I liked the location. The house was comfortable the whole time.

Great location but needs thorough cleaning

Really enjoyed our weekend get away. Just a couple suggestions...tub needs stopper. (couldn't give 5 year old a bath), oven/stove really needs cleaned (no toaster so broiled bread and smoke was thick...stove top was really grimey), floors need good cleaning (daughter went barefoot and feet were black).

Thanks Suzanne for staying with us and leaving some great feedback. The tub stopper was in the cabinet, sorry I should have set it out for easy access. We will get to work on the stove and the floor.

Comfortable Home and Gorgeous Views—Highly Recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming and cozy home in Independence, KS! From the moment we arrived, everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. The house had everything we needed and truly felt like a home away from home.One of my favorite parts of each day was waking up and sipping my morning tea while enjoying the view of the beautiful horses grazing next door—such a peaceful and special touch!The management was exceptional—friendly, kind, and extremely responsive. When we noticed the electronic door lock batteries were running low, they promptly dropped off a fresh package without hesitation. That kind of attentiveness really goes a long way.The only minor issues we experienced weren’t within anyone’s control—the front door was a bit tricky to open and close due to swelling from heavy recent rains, and we noticed quite a few beetle remains around the house, which actually reassured us that pest control had been handled (and we really appreciated that!).All in all, it was a fantastic stay and we would absolutely book again. Highly recommend!
