We had a great time at the Island Club. The cabin is freshly remodeled which was a huge PLUS compared to when we originally booked. The only trouble we had was with the AC. It was hard to get the AC lower than 74 but we also did have 12 people in the cabin. The large island and seating options were great for our large group. We’d love to come back for the tournament next year!

Its an older property but it was clean and exactly what we were looking for. It was quiet and easy to locate, and the staff was very promt at accomidating us.

Fun cabin!

We stayed over the weekend for my sister’s bachelorette party and everything was great! The cabin was clean and spacious for everyone. We did run into a minor issue with the toilet and plumbing, but Paul was very prompt in responding and it was fixed right away! Despite the power going out for a few hours from the storm, everything was excellent! Will definitely stay again!

We always have a great time. I would like someone to he aware that half of the outlets in the home did not work. I feel newly renovated is inaccurate. Although it was a nice stay it was not updated and outlets need fixed. Thank you for the stay

Not what I expected

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The ‘recently renovated’ caption was very misleading. The cottage was very run down. Broken pictures hanging sideways on the wall, missing door frames, duct tape on the floor. It wasn’t well stocked in the kitchen. You couldn’t walk barefoot in the cottage because it would turn your feet black. I wouldn’t rent this property again.

Great location

The house was pleasant enough. It accommodated our group of 5 adults. The recently renovated description was misleading. Drywall shows where the art used to hang. The shower door would not close. Back door screen door was broken. Property management was quick to respond. The floors need a good scrubbing. Going barefooted not recommended. Several of our friends ended up with black feet. The dining table was sticky. Our thick paper plates with hot food stuck to the table. We thought it was a bad coat of varnish. The kitchen was well equipped. If you drink wine, bring your own glasses. None available. We were there for the Historic races so the location was superb. Ov Nare geet

An OK stay

The evening we arrived we tried to cook dinner for 10 on the grill only to find the propane tank was empty. Called management company 2 times that night both times we were told someone would come. No one did. Not only did we have no other way of cooking the 10 burgers ( not enough kitchen tools to cook for all 10 people) but we ended up having to find a place late at night to order food additional expense. The next day I called management again and inquired about sending someone out and when I mentioned about the night before, it was like they knew nothing about our request. The propane did get switched out, but a little too late in our case..floor had dirty foot prints upon our arrival and dining table was sticky.

Hi Jennifer, I'm so sorry about that. Our office staff goes home around 8pm to get some rest and an after-hours service takes calls for the rest of the night. The service has the cell phone number of our island manager who can respond to any late-night emergencies or needs. There was a breakdown in their communication because they did not leave a note or notify our island manger. of the after-hours request. I will address that with our after-hours service, as I can imagine how frustrating that was.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We recently stayed in house 04 for $900 each night. The kitchen drawers were broken off the tracks, there was not a fully equipped kitchen, and the patio on the front got full sun and could not be enjoyed. The visit also consisted of an invasion of mayflies that we didn't even know existed. You would think that we would have received a warning. We had to make do without an oven mitt, a pasta strainer, and a broom. The mayflies had to be swept off the patio every morning before we could even use it. The swarm of flies was so bad that we were getting pegged in the face by them while riding in the golf cart that we had to pay extra for.

Cabin #4 Review

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for 3 nights at Island Club #4 for a bachelorette party weekend. We were overall happy with the accommodations and pleased to be offered a discounted last minute option to check in one day early. We also rented golf carts from Island Club which were easy to easy, delivered to our cabin and worked well for our group. We did make several calls to Island Club while we were there and they were very nice and delivered what was needed in a timely fashion. When we arrived we were missing a couple fitted sheets for twin beds which were delivered to us. We wish there was a couple cleaning items in the cabin. We had ants the first day and the next morning had to throw out food that was on the counter wrapped up tightly because ants got in. We called right away to see if we could have spray, or for it to be addressed. Someone came right away and sprayed inside, they also sprayed outside. We did not have a problem after that. We did notice that there was some mold build up on the upper parts of the walls in one of our bathrooms which was concerning, but there was nothing that could be done at time of stay. I do hope it's something Island Club can address for future stays. Overall we had a good time. The cabin was fairly clean when we came although the rooms/bathrooms were a little outdated. I would recommend to someone in the future. Not sure what other cabins look like but I would maybe pick a different rental house next visit. I did appreciate that there were no bunk beds.

Exceeded my Expectations

We ended up with a bigger place than we had booked which was a nice benefit. I would advise reserving a golf cart before you arrive. We brought our car which we ended up using because there weren’t any onsite carts available. We didn’t use the pool or grill but I liked that they were there. Overall the place was clean and had what we needed. There were cups, pots/pans, microwave, coffee maker, and utensils including a wine bottle opener if you need it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very clean upon arrival. Had everything I needed to make food for my family for the week. We were there during the week and it was very quiet. We will go back.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House #4 was dirty, Had to have it cleaned when we arrived. Bugs all over. Floors not cleaned and the house was dirty. Hole punched in walls. Beds were not good, could not sleep in them. Not a good place to stay. However, We loved PUT-IN-BAY

Our housekeeping manager met with the team member responsible for cleaning your unit and performed some retraining. Unit Needs a Lot of Work

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While Island Club does say that any maintenance issues should be reported so they can be rectified, the problems with this unit are far too big for a quick maintenance call. For example:1) Nearly every wall hanging was removed and stuffed into the master BR closet. I can only imagine the unit was being prepped for painting, but should not have been rented in this condition. The walls are dirty, full of small holes, and in bad need of general repair. A fist-sized hole in the master BR covered by a small plaque was a nice touch. 2) The central A/C in this unit does not work. A single window unit in the dining room, being supported by river rocks stacked on top of the central AC unit outside, was the only cooling provided. 3) Door molding and countertop edges are broken, hanging and damaged throughout the house, making for a very unsightly space. 4) An orange extension cord partially buried in the back yard suspiciously fed to the house meter. I'm no electrician, but am pretty sure this isn't to code.4) Very cheap window coverings do not provide adequate privacy. 5) Cable TV did not work at all.6) No dishwasher. 7) Drain plug for spa tub was half the size of the drain.8) Refrigerator door rails are duct taped to hold in place.9) Very cheap cookware.10) Generally grimy, dark and gloomy. Walls and floor corners very dirty.11) Pool had dozens of dead flies in it.12) Broken ceiling light fixture featured a bare bulb hanging from a cord. 13) Wifi very weak. Zero to one bar only. Would not recommend nor stay again.
