We had a mother/daughter weekend (all adults) and wanted to be very near a beach. This house was perfect for us and very comfortable!

Beware of the construction next door and other issues

Upon arriving to the home it was not clean. It looked like it had not been dusted in forever, there were a few dead bugs in the floor that looked like it had not been swept properly otherwise they would have not been there. One set of bed sheets were completely dirty with signs of being used. There was mold in the shower of the master, a lot of mold and it felt very nasty to even use that shower. I reported all the findings and was offered a set of sheets the next day but we had already washed the ones provided because we needed to use that bed. The biggest issue was the construction that was right next door. The fact that they were doing construction and never disclosed this information really disturbed me. It started at 7am and went to 6pm. I have a 3 year old with special needs and she’s very sensitive to loud noises so we would never have booked had we known there was loud construction going on. I feel that this falls back on the home owner in knowing and reporting this to the public because they receive their payment and we were just stuck with the conditions with no final compensation. When I reported the noise the first day I literally had a Vacasa representative on the phone that could hear the construction and told me that she would not be able to tolerate that noise. However once I requested compensation I was never contacted back. I was only told there was no option to move us and basically were just stuck there. If anything I should be refunded the cleaning fee due to the dirty conditions and the mold. I have stayed at another Vacasa property with family last year and this was not our experience at all so I am very disappointed this time. The view is the best part. It was nice to sit on the porch and hear and see the ocean and the beach access is steps away, so it wasn’t all bad. I would never stay there again, the floors are coming up in multiple places and are very uneven. It seems like a remodel was done at some point and they must have went with a cheap floor replacement because it shows throughout the entire home. I’m not sure why the warped and saggy floors weren’t addressed then. As far as Topsail Island we love all that it has to offer and will be returning, just not to this house and possibly not with Vacasa after this experience.

Nice place/location but a lot of frustration for a vacation

House overall is nice and in a great location. However, our short stay was more frustrating than a vacarion should have to be. Received a text 30 mins prior to checkin time saying that the AC wasn't working. Overall communication regarding the entire situation was lacking and unclear at best. The solution was to bring us fans for an 80 weekend and there were only a couple windows with screens to use for help. The house was over 80 upon arrival. Floors were dirty. There were "cleaning supplies" in the closet but no swiffer pads for swiffer, no extra trash bags, and the trash bin was full from previous and barely fit our one bag of garbage in it. We had to fight with the washer for over an hour to get it to wash a load of laundry which was noted from previous stayers in the book for over a month which makes me question how they're effectively washing sheets after each stay. Could be a lovely rental, but they need to put a little TLC into the place and make sure it's actually a vacation for renters. Extremely, disappointed with what we paid for what we got.

Issues with TVs

Friday night we experienced issues with the living room and primary room TVs not connecting to the WIFi. Both TVs required software updates. I ran the software updates which logged out of Google TV. I reached out and received the password from Bailey however, when trying to login we received a message banner saying he account was suspended. I contacted customer service late yesterday afternoon spoke with rep who said I would be contacted with a solution. I was not contacted therefore we were unable to utilize the TVs. I was not even contacted about the issue today so I essentially was ignored regarding the issue. If you are using Smart TVs it would benefit all parties if the login information is provided at the check in and the owner do the required software updates when required. I utilize this app regularly to book stays and I will say I was very disappointed if a simple issue like this did not get solved what would happen with a more serious issue. I felt like the owners felt they had already received the payment and were not concerned with the issue.

Beautiful Time

Location was neat, view was pretty great, the dolphins were a fun experience, and overall, out trip was pretty flawless. My only complaint/suggestion would be to invest in kitchen items, specially pots and pans. Definitely recommended staying here 👌

Great House

This was the perfect house for our family of four. The bedroom and bathroom setups were great as well as the views of the ocean. The house was updated inside and clean which made our vacation start off so well! We’d definitely stay here again.
