Klitzke House - Beach~ Food~ & True Southern Hospitality! Discover why Gulf Shor

Between the dates of March 1 and October 31, reservations in this beach house will include 2 reclinable, mesh beach chairs and 1 heavy duty umbrella from High Wave 59. The chair service attendants will come set up your chairs and umbrella each day of your stay at 9am and take them down at 7pm for reservations booked after September 26, 2024. This service is available for 2025 reservations only.

This 1600 sq ft traditional privately owned beach cottage sits right on the pristine sands of the Gulf of Mexico. Bring your small dog to one of the only gulf front beach homes that allows pets in Gulf Shores (nonrefundable fee applies). Enjoy the wraparound balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico covered parking fully-equipped kitchen full size washer/dryer and cable TV. This nonsmoking home will remind you of beach vacation past. With updated furnishings spacious seating area a primary bedroom with view of the beach and much more there are plenty of reasons to choose Klitzke for your next visit to the beach.

Monthly rentals available Nov1 to March 1 This property is pet friendly for one (1) dog only with a size restriction up to 50 lbs. Breed restrictions may apply. If applicable the pet fee is $150.00 in addition to the reserved price of the property.

We loved the house!

We loved this location! The house is dated but clean! The only thing I would change is the size of the beds and the amount of light that comes in one of the bedrooms.

Great Location

Like others said this house is a little outdated, however, it was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the view is all worth it. It is so close to the beach and the beach access is easy. Loved sitting on the deck watching dolphins or having breakfast or dinner. It was perfect. If you are not looking for a "beachy" interior this is well worth it.

So close to the beach and roomy!!

Has a code so no need for a key. Great deck but I wish it had an awning for when it rains. Wish it had a king in the master and needs new pillows and a little update.

Love the retro look

We had trouble with our phones upon arrival. Borrowed a phone from a complete stranger to contact the rental company! They were amazing !! Helped us so quickly & we were able to check in a little early!! Fantastic experience!!!

Great location

The location is fantastic especially for a family with kids, being right on the beach made life very easy. The house it’s self NEEDS updates nothing major but a lot of little things that need to be repaired, to include the house outside that has so many holes in it. Definitely an over priced stay especially not to include any sort of beach equipment for the renters & with the amount of minor updates I was disappointed! BUT if you’re just going for a roof over your head & a great location … go for it!

Million $ view

The ocean view is perfect!! We had a great time and its just a short drive to shopping and restaurants…… but this view from the deck is absolutely perfect and beautiful. Watching the dolphins from the porch was a bonus. We also like the open concept of the house it gives the house plenty of room for the family. Plus the few extras that come with the place was nice. The only complaint we had someone left a old tent and chairs on the beach and I was told the beach is cleaned up every night but it was there the whole week we stayed so that was a lil ugly to look at. You may want to call and have someone pick that up because no one comes to clean the beach there. Thank you for sharing your home with my family! We had a great time and we will definitely come back next year.

Frustrating

My family and I stayed just this late week. We walked in an a number of things were broken. I called Monday morning to report the list of things broken when we walked in so I did not get charged. I didn’t need them fixed right away. I figured they would fix them after we checked out. On Monday we had someone randomly show up to look at the dryer after they left we never heard from them. Tueaday, we came back from the beach to a old “new” dryer in the house. I had no idea someone was showing up. Wednesday we came in for lunch and there two employees hanging a tv mount on the living room wall. Again, unannounced, my son was freaked out walking up the back stairs to find two men standing in the living room. When I called management to discuss my frustration is was disregarded. I was not happy with the cleanliness of the place at all. I walked in the room my two boys were sleeping in to find a use floss pick on the window ledge. This place is completely run down and not worth the $5,000 I spend to book it. Also, there a condos across the street, serval times there were people walking under the house, past our car and through out private beach access way. Just very uncomfortable, lack of privacy. We will not be back.

Vacation 2021

Good location. Plenty of room. Needs a little updating. Bathroom had some pet damage which could be easily repaired. Great view. Need to leave instructions for the television. In all would recommend it.

Beautiful location

This beach house is right on the gulf. Excellent views from living room and 2 back bedrooms. The wraparound deck was nice and smooth. We didn't have to worry about splinters. I was worried about the carpet but it was nice and clean. I would definitely rent it again!

Loved the house

We loved the house and its beautiful view of the gulf. Being able to walk off the porch and stand on the beach in just a few steps was wonderful. The house is older, but was very comfortable. Since we were not aware of the size and population of Gulf Shores, and coming from a small town, we were not ready for the sky-high apartment buildings and congestion of traffic. We thought that by coming in February, we would avoid the tourist season, but it was crowded.

Excellent location and excellent ocean view. This house is right on the beach. We had plenty of room for our group of 8 plus an infant.

Great location!

Location was spot on as it’s away from the hustle and bustle. Perfect for those who like to enjoy the beach without a huge crowd. We always stay on this end but this is our first time staying here. We highly recommend. Home is definitely outdated but was clean and spacious.

This place is the best. It is dated but for the amount of time we actually spent there it was perfect. It is clean and right on the beach. I am already planning my next trip to stay there.

Location fabulous, property very tired.

There is no denying that this location is great. It’s right on the beach, close to shops, and quiet at night. They also allow dogs, which we were looking for ( a non-refundable fee) AC was great, furniture was comfortable and clean. New washer/dryer. In exchange for these positives is a house in need of work and clear in-house instructions. We stumbled upon the fact that the power for internet and TV is controlled by a wall switch, and if accidentally turned off, internet is gone and the “cable” must be reset, a long and tedious process. Clear printed instructions would have been appreciated. The front door lock is very precarious, and should be replaced. Bathroom walls and kitchen cabinets are old and cracked, but functional. In the end, it’s location location location.

We stay here every year

We’ve stayed at this house for the last 3 yrs and we love it! It’s not fancy but everything works and is decently clean. It’s right on the beach and has plenty of beach items in the storage room underneath the house. Plenty of towels and sheets. We look forward to staying again next year.

Great location!

Better than our expectations and bigger in reality that it looked in the pictures. The view was amazing! Being able to sit on the deck and view the ocean was great! Other than being a little dated looking with the wood paneling, it was clean and well stocked. We had a great time.
