The view was perfect. The checkin process was a nightmare requiring copies of identification, debt card, signature, and a picture of me. It was unnecessary and simply not worth the trouble. The space is a hotel room, without the usual amenities such as bathsoap, kleenex, or shampoo expected in a hotel room. There was a coffee maker but not one most people use which meant additional costs of filters you won't use at home. The tile floor was sloppy wet and very slippery. I actually thought the fridge was leaking. Instead just neglected housekeeping. The freezer hadn't been defrosted in years. The site is great if you have kids and low expectations. I will not use this place again, nor will I ever recommend it.

The room was very clean. All essentials were supplied, along with any instruction needed. Julie the host replied quickly with any answers to question we may have had, along with welcoming us after check in. Would definitely rent the room again.

The host is very quick on responding. Check in and out was quick and simple. The only downfall with the check in process is the verification. I’ve not completed a process like that before and was very unsure about sending all the pictures. But it worked out. The condo is beautifully located on the beach with barely a walk to the beach. The pictures are old. The condo could do with a little repair to walls and replaced flooring. The bathroom ceiling looks a little rough. I wish it had a small couch or one comfy chair to relax in at the end of the day. The only seating is 2 uncomfortable dining room chairs or the plastic chairs on the patio. It is a quiet resort. The pools are awesome! Definitely family friendly! Overall, we had a great time and it was a good stay.

The room is as listed, however, really needs a good cleaning of the floors, walls, and bathroom. Plumbing could use some attention here as well. The view is beautiful and building easy to navigate. There was excessive communication from the rental company throughout the entire stay which we found to be repetitive and unnecessary.I do try to communicate all of this privately but received an automated response only.

Mother’s Day weekend

My daughter and I came for Mother’s Day weekend. This was our first time at the Ocean Reef resort and we enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and clean. And the place was convenient to everything.

The view for morning coffee was perfect. Just the right amount of shade and sun. The unit comes fully furnished with dishes which was a great perk. Our beds were very comfortable and our surroundings were very quiet. Would stay at Ocean Reef again. As a parent, the location was perfect for us. If you are looking for calm quiet beachfront and under 30 minutes from campus, this location is perfect. Great restaurants within walking distance and were think have found our place for visiting our college student.

Overall, the room was as expected. The ocean front balcony was amazing and we enjoyed that very much. The identity verification process that occurred the morning of my departure was not expected, as the room had been prepaid a month in advance and we had been communicating. The morning of my trip I received a message that I had to verify my identity in order to receive the room code. I submitted this twice and received a message that the identity verification was accepted. Three hours into the drive I checked my email and saw a message that my identity verification had failed. The message went on to itemize a list of further actions I had to take in order to receive the door code. I messaged back that I was en route and these things were not possible. The answer was, without your identity verification we will not send you the door code. An hour later I stopped at a rest stop to submit multiple photos and finally received the door code. The other area of concern was obtaining a key card from the front desk. I had to ask several times as there was disagreement whether the owner should have provided this. You need the key card to get into the building from the beach.

This property was not at all as nice as the photo. There was mold and rust on the ceilings, the ceilings and walls had cracks, the carpet was wet, and the moldy /musty smell about knocked you over when you went into the room. I had an asthma attack when I walked thru the door. My daughter was miserable after 30 minutes. The host agreed to a refund initially and now has denied the refund. Proceed with caution!
