About the property

Chalet, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Junction Park is a centrally located vacation site on 75 acres of natural beauty with a view of two running streams and garden. It is a perfect retreat to relax and unwind and is just a short drive south of Birmingham and less than five miles from I-65. It is conveniently located yet secluded with a private quarter mile driveway off US 31 with a privacy gate. Nature trails, shaded grounds, garden, and fishing make this a special place to visit and reflect on simple pleasures. Relax on the wrap around porch and listen to the running water or enjoy a quiet walk in the woods. Junction Park offers three very comfortable sized bedrooms with a view and a spacious common room with fireplace and water/wood view. Rustic decor with many 'one of a kind' antiques will bring back an era of yerteryears. Each bedroom has full baths with claw foot tubs. Upstair bedroom has 900 sq. ft. with spectular view. A big screen TV is located in the great room and bedroom. This area is rich in history, small town charm, and Southern hospitality but a short drive to larger towns, Birmingham and Prattvile. History buffs will enjoy the Confederate Memorial Park and local attractions. The Peach Park and restaurant is just up the road. Deer viewing is very commonplace on the property.

About The Owner

My wife and I are retired and enjoy spending time with our two dobermans, Angus and Chloe. We enjoy antiquing, history, and nature. We put all these things together and came up with Junction Park. It has been a labor of love for us and I hope you will love it too.

The Owner purchased this chalet in 2003

Why The Owner chose Alabama

Verbena is a great little town and we fell in love with the property's natural beauty and privacy. It is conveniently located to the interstate and bigger town attractions, but still has the 'get away' appeal. Clanton has a golf course, dining, antiques and open flea market twice a week, and the famous Peach Park. Two large lakes are close to the property.

What makes this chalet unique

You can take your shoes off and walk down the running stream, have a picnic on the wrap around porch, or find yourself a secluded spot in the woods to listen to the birds and wildlife. You can ride your bicycle down the quarter mile driveway or take a nature hike in the woods and never leave the property. A privacy gate keeps the grounds secluded. A large BBQ grill is available if you are in the grilling mood with several dining tables available on the porch. There is a flower garden in back of house with arbors and sittings areas for your enjoyment. You might want to enjoy a bath in one of the large antique claw foot tubs and just relax.

Weekend stay for a family reunion

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was absolutely beautiful we love our stay here. The home was very clean and I wanted to take that mattress back to NC with me it was so comfortable. It was so peaceful sitting on the porch rocking in the chair and listening to the water. I even saw a deer!!

The owners are very friendly and helpful. Our overall experience was wonderful!!!

Perfect family get-away

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here while we were in the area for my nephew's wedding. It was the perfect place for our family to gather to have some relaxing time among the festivities. The rivers were beautiful and the house was rustic. The bathrooms took a little getting used to, but since we're a close family, it really was fine.

I highly recommend this property! It was well worth the price for the amazing scenery and nature where we could relax and catch up with each other.

A NATURAL SNAPSHOT OF HEAVEN ON EARTH

  • 5 of 5

If you are seeking a natural secluded setting (75 acres) nestled with dogwoods, azaleas, and two free flowing creeks with splashing rock waterfalls that lure you to bask in their majesty this is the perfect place for you! The cabin has expansive glass windows peering into nature all around the cabin with wooden walls and stone floors, including a nice cozy warm fireplace to warm you heart. Abundant deer and birds to watch. The floral gardens of roses around the outside of the cabin are such a delight for your walking excursion along the garden trails. So settle in and escape the city and the concrete to finally breathe clean, crisp air. In addition, the most delightful and charming couple run the place. You will truly enjoy their Southern hospitality! It is a "10" for "Best Places to Stay in Nature!"
